Ok, put quite simply, i think a mod for dungeons 3d is in order,
mainly because the game is too short and too easy, (no offense to charnold, i relise your main work is on the game not the maps!) so, i figured we should make a mod, members needed include: Mapper: JEMdev Textures: Models: Skins (maybe): i don't think we should do a generic theme mod either, i want the idea and levels, and enemys to be original (not a generic halo or star wars mod) Like i said i have the mapping covered, for future reference, i do doom style mapping (big maps, hidden doors for enemy's to pop out of, etc.) i need a good texture artist a good modeller and a skinner (for weapons and enemy's, if can't find one, i guess the texture guy could do this). apply here or via pm, oh, and i don't expect anything amazing i just want a "dedicated" team to work with, and for. -= Double Post =- ok, my maps are slow and glitchy right now, because i can't get vismaker to work i get this message uppon running it from the folder "The application failed to initialize because SDL.dll was not found. would be great to see some better maps!
you can download a pc version from www.caweb.de, it also includes the vismaker and the sdl.dll. |

I hope that a lot of people start modding this game. I did some sound changes, but anyone can do that. I think we need to be more concentrated on mulitplayer. Then possibly outdoor maps? Health packs? Different weapons. But mulitplayer. At least wifi adhoc.

im pretty good at mapping, and i also have a doom mapping style.
heres an example of one of my dungeon maps... http://www.blackshark.nukelol.com/brickhalls.zip try it, see if its good enough! o ya..and a made a custom EBOOT for this....all it does is add screen shots when viewing the game in XMB. here it is.. http://www.blackshark.nukelol.com/Dungeoneboot.zip Moca: for stairs and hight differation, i believe the engine would have to be sector based (like doom/doom2) wich i think would be hard to do, i also think that items and stuff should come before multiplayer. but thats just me

Adhoc, then infrastructure if you can find someone to host the online part. The stairs thing isnt really that big of a deal, unless it would be easy to make a map. Like different letters would represent elevation when you make the map. Im assuming the maps are text created right.

for dungeon? yes, doom/doom2? HELL NO, i use doombuilder for that with its 3d editing mode... www.doombuilder.com , if this ever supported WADs, we will be in good shape when it comes to map editing

lol cool, blackshark can help with the maps
(lol doom mapping is so easy nowadays) the engine currently would have to be completely rewritten to allow different levels. lol, i need a simple texture artist (just some basic walls or something) and someone to do new weapons (im very bad with models) |
