THIS IS FOR 2.71SE-B'' USERS ONLY. ( Thanks DarkAleX )

Due to many difficulties brought about by 2.71SE-B'' users, to get the all new CheatDevice installed without having to use DevHook.

Well here's my little solution, VCSCheatDevice iFlasher...

PLEASE REMEMBER...
The included vcscheatdevice.prx is Edison Carter's work and not mine.

The Flasher is based on the OC flasher. ( Thanks Cpasjuste. )

Whats in this package?

- All flash operations are checked, so missing files will be reported and not dummy flashed.
- X now INSTALLS, O now UPDATES, [] now UNINSTALLS.
- You may simply update vcscheatdevice.prx via msroot, just press O.

NOTICE: If you have cwcheat/oc/etc. flashed, please edit the text file before installing, as any previous updates to the file will be lost, same goes with uninstallation, which will remove all related mods.

Enjoy! ( Edison Carter, feel free to include this in future cheatdevice releases.)

As with any flashing application, this has the potential to render your psp disfunctional, therefore we recommend you exercise extra caution whilst using any flashing application.

Having said this, i don't think its possible to brick your psp with this app, unless you substitute some super large file for the prx or txt file...
Everything else can be fixed with Recovery.

I have fully tested all functions, and reported them working.

EDIT: It seems the icon0.png was playing up for some reason, works fine without this.

All you did was steal OC-Guys' Source that does really nothing good at all...

Its the Reason I did my Improved Module Flasher based on his Work... Mine doesnt overwrite previous Mods at all... and only does HIS OWN business...

Meaning : Removing / Adding of Entries in pspbtcnf File... Installing / Updating Modules... or - if a Module Entry is already present while it installs... it simply skips that Module Entry in pspbtcnf and only Updates the PRX File...

So - What you did in two Options (Install / Update) - I do in one single operation (Install)...

If you want a copy of my Module Flasher... feel free to ask - if not - well - stay with what u got...

Ellen, if you want the source ill put it out, but ya its just simply flashing a prx, and flashing a "manually" updated module list...

Coldbird just shared his module flashing proggy with me, so im looking at that atm.

Think you could add a directory listing? and flash any module?

Unlike you I tend to make my stuff 100% perfect before I give it out to everyone... If you cant handle that - Your Problem.

its not too hard to open up a pspcbntf_[game?].txt (sorry spelling) and append to it (PSP_O_APPEND) where ever this PRX is installing to...

This should be moved since all of the developers are fighting over how hard it is. And this app isn't even needed. You can do it yourself.

SG - aint as easy as you think... haha...

If you add the Module after wlan.prx - it simply fails to work and / or might crash the psp...

It needs to be placed at a specific Place in the File.. meaning you have to re-write the whole file...

Same goes for Removing it of course... ^_^

I'm sorry, but yer this just allows the module to be flashed, along with an updated file, coldbird's new version will allow the flasher to automatically add a module to the config file and flash them both with updates. ( Same goes for uninstallation. )

Coldbird, ever considered adding up the total "file size" of the modules ( flashed, and about to be flashed) and if it exceeds 1mb, give a warning?

You could have this information stored in a comment in the config file, so check that out.

hey i read and used a tutorial over at max console about this very same topic..... My cheat device now just loads up. Its in the flash I'm pretty sure. I can coldboot my psp and its still there.

is there any possible way to use the actual UMD with devhook? cause i dont want to use this flash thing all the time... i only use cheats sometimes and i play other games and this cheatdevice makes it hang every single time i try to play anything that isnt vcs

i just rename cheatmaster into the gtavcsdevice.prx.. now i have cheatmaster and cwcheat on.. well i have you( coldbird and lordstrum) both luck in making a module installer for a few prx not exceeding a certain amount of flash space.. atm i've shrunk my gamboot down to only 124kb and installed a smaller font size so i'm pretty sure i'm safe.. since cheatmaster has also shrunk in size to 54kb... anywa, good luck to you both..

ps. oh btw lordsturm.. how goes the casual v4 project... =)

um.. i have regular 2.60 that i got from updating via psp updates.
can i still use this? is it possible that there is a umd loader so i can play vcs on my 2.60 psp with thecheat device?

( Same goes for uninstallation. ) Coldbird, ever considered adding up the total "file size" of the modules ( flashed, and about to be flashed) and if it exceeds 1mb, give a warning? You could have this information stored in a comment in the config file, so check that out. __________________ Hmm...

sin22eze Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: l_and of []z Posts: 172 Trader Feedback: 0	i just rename cheatmaster into the gtavcsdevice.prx.. now i have cheatmaster and cwcheat on.. well i have you( coldbird and lordstrum) both luck in making a module installer for a few prx not exceeding a certain amount of flash space.. atm i've shrunk my gamboot down to only 124kb and installed a smaller font size so i'm pretty sure i'm safe.. since cheatmaster has also shrunk in size to 54kb... anywa, good luck to you both.. ps. oh btw lordsturm.. how goes the casual v4 project... =)
