[RELEASE] Boot Protector: Password Protect Your PSP Upon Startup!
I sarted learning Lua two days ago, http://my.qj.net/A-Souped-Up-Lua-Hel.../pg/49/aid/916, and after the many posts by people asking for a password protector program that starts when you turn on your PSP, here it is:
D-PAD = Navigate/Change Password Number
SELECT = Screenshot
1.50 w/ Harleyg's Custom Firmware: ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/DEVBOOT.PBP
This is activated by leaving you WLAN switch down, this hasn't been tested!
This is activated via the configuration menu, although I have gotten this to work on 2.71SE, it crashes when exiting to XMB once the correct password is input!
Although this gets the job done, it doesn't disable the use of the HOME button. I am waiting on a custom build to be built, http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-homebrew-...ml#post1168778. But I thought that if you were using this program, it would most likely be to protect your PSP from your parents, who probably would struggle to even turn the thing on.
The default built in password, coded in, is 34903 and the changable password stored in:
Boot Protector/Applications/Boot Protector/password.txt
Is by default set as 55555. If you forget your password, connect your PSP to your computer while Boot Protector is running to access your memory stick.
Expect more updates very soon!
