Prevent your homebrew from being hex edited and credits for it taken by someone else.
Example for xLoader
DAS, Data Array Scrambling
Press circle to encrypt image using the DAS System
Press square to decrypt the image
Tell me what you think.
Should we now be protecting our work and code by encrypting it like Sony and give sony a head full trying to decrypt it to see how the exploit code for running homebrew works.
If you have looked at the example you will see that just a splash encrypted screen is enough to protect your work, just place text as part of the image and encrypt it, and then include the encrypted image in your homebrew with the key to decrypt it, the key can be encrypted as well to stop hex editors being used to find the key to decrypt the image.
Video can never be protected, like HD Video on blu Ray, HD DVD as on Macs we can record screen images and sound at 30fps HD, DVD we can just rip
but will protect your files like alpha channel files as you would only be able to take a 24bit screen capture not the 32bit
