help with toolchain...

ok when i run the toolchain i do a few things to make sure everythin goes smothly so i place the already dl'ed libarys/gcc/binutils in there i updated the toolchain and then i run it so i noticed that everytime i run it the patches it downloads are replaced and if not connected to the internet they are just made and replace any you already have with 0 kb files so after the toolchain does that i open up the one's that i already dl'ed and archived and replace the one's the toolchain made but didn't put any info in so everythings running a-ok when a few hours in an error comes up which is something like:

unable to enter bootstrap directory
unable to complete binutil's

and it says it's on the 353'd line so i ask is there anything i'm doing wrong and also i did go back and checked to make sure i had everything of devel installed and wget so can some1 help me?

sudo? what well that do i have ran the toolchain several times and i would have not had to ask this if my comp hadn't froze the first time i ran it as it got by this part but after that it won't do it any longer

ok here's my exact error:

./toolchain.sh: line 342: cd: pspsdk: No such file or directory
./toolchain.sh: line 345: ./bootstrap: No such file or directory

i may have goten past the error although not 100% sure i'll respond if i did or didn't hope i'm not talking 2 soon
