Default [Release] SmallNethostGui v0.2

Hi Forum,
here is Version 0.2 of my SmallNethostGui.

Changelog since V0.1
--------------------
*NEW* Values are stored in an ini file, not in the registry
*NEW* ported to Delphi, no need of NET2.0
*NEW* GUI functions for usbhostfs included
*IMPROVED* Port Handling, no need to activate it manually
*REMOVED* "runas" functionality

Usage:
* Put nethostfs.exe and usbhostfs.exe (usbhostfs_pc.exe) in the same folder where the GUI is located and start the program
* On program start the last options are loaded and stored at the end of the program.
* Browse the folders.
Save mode is automatically activated now !!!
* Choose your options (see below)
* Start the choosed HostFS with the "<-- GO HostFS -->" Button.
* Click Window minimize to move program to system tray, click icon in tray to open again.

Options:
* Select HostType: Choose your HostFS System, usbhost or nethost
* USB Verbose Mode: Choose your level of usbhost verbose mode (see usbhostfs.exe -h)
* Path: The folder which is used for the hostfs Application
* Port: The Port for the nethostfs.exe Application
* Password: The Password (if needed) for the nethostfs.exe application, activated with the checkbox beside
* The command is shown below the Options.

Shortcut buttons:
* Six buttons for loading and saving predefined Options.
* If checkbox “SaveMode” is activated and a button is clicked each value like Folder, Port, Status of Checkboxes etc. are stored for each button separately.
* If checkbox “SaveMode” is inactive the stored values are loaded.
* The actual path from a button is shown by ToolTip if your mouse cursor is over a button.

If you start the Gui first and finish the program directly you find
the new created "sng.ini" in your folder which contains the following values:
------------------
[Main]
nethost=.\nethostfs.exe # path to nethostfs.exe, manual to change here if needed
usbhost=.\usbhostfs.exe # path to usbhostfs.exe, manual to change here if needed
Path=C:\ # Standard path
HostType=0 # HostType, 0=nethost, 1=usbhost
VMode=0 # USB VerboseMode 0=none, 1=v, 2=vv (see usbhostfs.exe -h)

Hi,
i see there is an difference in the functionality from nethostfs.exe by the way you include the path in the command.

1) nethostfs.exe d:\data\video
2) nethostfs.exe /cygdrive/d/data/video

The first example works for me when streaming my pmp avc videos with irshell2.2.
The second ends with an error in the avc plugin of irshell.
With both of them i can browse my pc files.

This actual version of SmallNethostGui works with 2) and will be changed back to 1) in the next version.
The old version of SmallNethostGui works with 1).

Also streaming over usbhost doesn't work.

I have changed the way of the path settings for usbhost functionality but i doesn't know about these differences, sorry.

Who are the developers of these hostfs files.
I think nethostfs is from dax and usbhostfs from ahmann, right ?

Depends by the way you want to connect.
AP is an connection over an wifi router/access point,
ADHOC is directly to an WIFI PC.

..normal left click with the mouse should work to open the gui again (on my WinXPpro).

Use with iR Shell
1. Setup your WLAN network on the PSP (no need of an fixed ip adress)
2. Setup iR Shell (see iR Shell Nethost Tutorial)
http://www.phpbber.com/phpbb/viewtop...mforum=irshell
3. Start nethost.exe (WLAN) or usbhost.exe (USB Cable) to enable connection PSP <-> PC
4. Start nethost or usbhost support on Ir Shell
5. Browse nethost0: or usbhost0: in iR Shell
When all is setted up fine the connection out of iR Shell should be started
automatically when you open the nethost0: or usbhost0: folder.
Best for beginners:
Place the nethost.exe/usbhost.exe file (with the cygwin dll's) direct in the folder you want to serve and start the app without the gui.
!! Attention FIREWALLS can block nethost !!

Happy new year !!
