Debugging is a whole different ball game- I can get it to show the error the program chucks out, maybe, but taking them and highlighting with them- i dunno...

Also, head, that bug is too confusing to go into now

So hows your progress with the error ?

If you can get the output to display in the your IDE, then parse up to the first colon to get the filename to open and then parse up to the secod colon to get to the line number.

Before that, it might be wise to develop a goto line function so you can reuse that for your error highlighting.

That's almost imposssible to me.
The last time I was truely amazed of a homebrew project, the developer ran away and when he came back he told everybody to pay for it.

What is it?
It will be basically a game/application creation tool for the computer, any OS; Mac, Linux, Windows, you name it!
It will take the majority of the work out of making a game, the final thing will even have collision and more advanced features than most things...
Please note- it will not be WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) tool- there may be some kind of WYSIWYG features in later versions, however it'll start with your code window- several menus, a preview box, and a few other things, I still have to decide the majoity of the program.
This won't be an easy task though, and if this doesn't get a lot of support then I will not be doing it.
It will be coded in java- which, although universally hated, is quite a good language for this, the .jar's are small (can work on phones, although I don't think i'll be aiming it to do that) and can work on all operating systems.
If there is a big call for it I may even make it into an applet.
Note, at the beginning there will not be a drag-n-drop interface, because that will take quite a while to make reality

That is because there are ones that are tons better then anything that the author, me or most other developers on here on here can create (no offense to them). Code::Blocks is the one I use and pretty much does everything.

What could be done is to write plugins for something like Code::Blocks to extend the functionality which will be far more benifical.

I *might* try and find out abt plugins- sorry, beta testing is full.
