That's a hardware mod which is nearly impossible to be done.

I don't think there will be any mod like that, unlike the PS2 analog mod..

Why would it be impossible..if you have the right people working on it, it could get done over a period of time

yea but only the rich could get it as it would require a lot of extra cash to make the screen plus it would make the psp look a little bulky wouldn't it?

edit: nvm about bulky if you built it directly into the psp by removing the screen but that would also require custom fw(which is now capable of) and a lot of other stuff plus we don't have the ppl to do that otherwise it would be done

Of course it's not going to happen. It's a nice thought, but who would want to
sacrifice the functionality of their speakers for it.

The PS2 analogue mod isn't exactly 'real' either, since the second controller
is connected to a digital input there would be no gradual movement characteristic
of an analogue controller.. it would work like the Dpad.

Just because it doesn't perform as a true analogue stick doesn't mean it isn't "real".

It isn't real because software could never be written to tell where
the joystick is. It could only read hard up, hard left, etc.
That's not a real analogue joystick, it's a digital joystick driven with potentiometers.

Even if it doesn't perform as a true analogue stick, its still a real mod.

Ravine's mod doesn't perform as an actual touch pad, its still a real mod.

Agreed. Although something doesn't work, it is STILL a mod. Say that the GBA got a touch screen. Although software do not support it, it is STILL an accessory.

The PS2 analogue stick mod works exactly as it is said to work, to allow the use of a PS2 analogue stick to perform the functions of the PSP's dpad.
