Hey all,

I'v been working very busy on a cwcheat like program for awhile now (for 6 months) and have finally come to my first beta release. It works with all devhook emulated firmware versions from 2.71 and up and it contains a GUI! which most developers thought was impossible to do due to the amount of kernel RAM (8 megs) allocated. It also supports a large number of memory searching options like "Is boolean True" and also supports an almost complete set of all c++ standard data types: unsigned int, signed int, unsigned short, signed short, unsigned byte, signed byte, unsigned float, signed float.

Future versions will have a debugger which will be as powerful as softice including full reverse engineering of the firmware.

Currently the installer will require devhook (version 1.51) to be installed, however theroreticly
it should be able to load on any firmware modification that supports loading plain PRXs from the PRX module list text files in the kd folder.

For Devhook Install:

Just run the installer exe and follow the on screen instructions.

For 3.02 OE-A

1. Extract the files from the pspShark manual install zip file to the root of your memory stick (don't remove any files after this apart from the one mentioned below)

2. copy/move the pspShark.prx (it will be in (MSROOT)/dh/05/kd/pspShark.prx) to the (MSROOT)/seplugins folder. (you can remove the original file)

3. update the game.txt file (or even vsh.txt if you want it in vsh) to include:
ms0:/seplugins/pspShark.prx

4. Make sure that the errorlog.txt file (MEMORY STICK ROOT)/dh/kd/pspShark/errorlog.txt) file is removed (if it exists)

5-now boot your 3.02 OE-A psp up while pressing R
6-go to advanced -> Advanced configuration
7-Enable by pressing X on Plain modules in UMD/ISO
8-select back for two times
9-Select plugins
10-Press X over pspShark.prx [GAME] it will say ENABLED
11-exit recovery and enjoy

now if it crashes or doesn't work, boot your 3.02 OE-A without pspShark active and go into USB connection option.

Take a look and see if there is a file called errorlog.txt (MEMORY STICK ROOT)/dh/kd/pspShark/errorlog.txt). If there is, tell me what the contents of this file is. I wanna see if the prx is even initializing in 3.02 OE-A.

pspShark itself (as in pspShark.prx) does not write to the flash in any way.

Mac/Linux Users, Just unzip the zip file (above) to the root of your memory stick. You may need to update the pspbtcnf txt files to put back the other devhook plugins together you were previously using.

I emulated 1.5 on my ta-082 psp and installed this then emulated 3.02 from devhook and it works. Here is a pic:

Ok,I got it to load 3.02OE.Although when trying to exit it crashed ,how do you exit anyhow?A tutorial on how to use would be helpful also.

Nevermind you exit the same way as you enter but it still crashes.

Heheheh, its funny how wrong and ignorant you are. CheatMaster can hack homebrew, homebrew emulating roms, (aka hacking a GBA rom), etc.

I confirm, working on 3.02 OE-A, using the directions he gave before. Although the GUI doesnt look the best, its not so bad. Good job!

(Tested with Tales of Eternia, CSO FORMAT, No-UMD Mode)
Exiting out of CSO freezes PSP.
