Thats the wierd thing though, the SCM code works ALL THE TIME, like in battle, whatever. THats y its wierd though. It'd be great if you could get the negative offsets working though.

as i said most probably cm checks for the null pointer while i made the code thinking that the cheat maker checked it by himself. anyway i've added that check... check pm btw

Here it is a new version of cwcheat: 0.1.9 REV.E.
This version has a lot of optimization which reduced the prx of up to about 2kbs, but not only that.
Various fixes were done to the pointer codes, including a check for null pointers to avoid crashes and the possibility to skip more than one codeline with the jocker code.
Other interesting things is a rework of the values used by the brightness function so it's possible to unlock the brighter level on the lite psp and various less important fixes and optimizations
Enjoy :)

Code:0.1.9 REV.E RELEASE
=====================
- [ALL] optimizations in the usb loading runtimes to avoid useless operations
- [ALL] added a ioctl call to update the fat with the current state of the ms when disabling usb support.
This will avoid corruption and avoid loading files like if they weren't updated. thanks to Ahman for pointing
it on ps2dev forums
- [ALL] optimizations in some key handling functions which gained 1456 bytes of space
- [ALL] fixed some checks for button release which weren't checking the button accordly to the swap button option
- [ALL] improved the jocker command (0xD00000dd 0x1nnnnnnn) in the standard cwcheat cheat engine it will allow to skip dd+1 lines
(so it keeps compatibility with old jocker codes)
[more information here: http://cwcheat.consoleworld.org/wiki/doku.php?id=english:code:psp_types#miscellaneous_commands]
- [ALL] Corrected some glitches when getting brightness values
- [ALL] Corrected chosen brightness levels to work better on a lite psp (100 on the lite was doing strange things, while 99 is the correct maximum)
[thanks to moca for the testing]
- [ALL] Corrected a bug in the inverse offset codes which were pointing to a wrong adress before the start of user ram [thanks to black_wolf_92 for
pointing the problem]
- [ALL] reworked a bit the pointer codes in the cheat engine: now if the feeded adress from the pointer is NULL (which may happen sometimes in games)
the code will be skipped, plus the engine is now more optimized gaining 152bytes of space
awsome!!!
This is what i come up after a lot of checking in nid tables and without powering on the psp for the entire process :P
As some may know i didn't update to 3.71 yet because of the missing 1.50 kernel but these are personal reasons and doesn't matter with cwcheat.
So i've to thanks for those who tested it (mikebeaver, jamesbdx, robertfissk from malloc.us irc network) and i was really lucky as it worked at the first try :)
This is to be considered a beta first of all because it isn't very well tested and also because some functions are missing because they are dependant on some functions i couldn't find for now, these are:
- Brightness function
- lock of power during risky processes (loading/saving db/screenshots in fast mode): so avoid putting your psp in suspend/poweroff during these precesses else cwcheat may crash on restore or the files being written/readed could be corrupt
plus i decided to make a lite prx just to be sure it worked before furter testing, so for now the cheat search functions are disabled and this needs to be installed on top of an installation of 0.1.9 REV.E to be sure to work and should work in vsh, 3.7x homebrews and games (tested only in game)
Enjoy :)

PS: you don't need other screenshoot plugins anymore and this is proper as it works in kernel and not in user mode :P
This is a beta of cwcheat for 3.71 firmware. [BETA2]
With this release all these functions are working: screenshoot (normal and fast mode), brightness changer (5th level on lites), frame counter, remapsp, cheating with pops and normal engine, usb, memory dump, clock changer (cpu/bus), informations about memory stick/power informations, memory editor, disassembler, various cheat serching methods and many others (pratically almost all)

overwrite the cwcheat.prx and cwcheatpops.prx in the seplugins folder and enable them in plugins. if you don't need cheat searching functions use the lite versions.
enjoy :)

And some more little things about repositions of files in the archive to improve order
Enjoy :)

Code:0.1.9 REV.F RELEASE
=====================

- [ALL] added prxes for the 3.71m33 kernel lite and full for pops and game. Also an irshell one, altough irshell is not available right now.
For 1.50 homebrews use the prx for 3.52m33 and minor even if on 3.71 kernel.
- [GAME] fixed a little glitch in the function checking the code type if pointer codes were used. Now the pointer codes will work also if not alone
in the db

- [ALL] Reworked operations being made just before psp reboot (eg: home menu exit). This avoided crashes during this procedure as seen in the betas for 3.71
- [PACKAGE] Added an MS_ROOT_371 for easy installation on 3.71+ firmware

Hi weltall, I am having a little problem with cwcheat pops. I am trying to use my PAL Crash Team Racing save on my PSP, and I am using the PAL game. It loads fine and I can use my save and save the game and all, but then when I quit the game and reload, the game doesn't even see a memory card let alone my save, so right now I have to load it from memory stick, save to memory stick when I finish and then everytime I want to play the game I have to delete the bad save folder and reload the game from memory stick and repeat. What's wrong with this?
Ive tried all the versions of this app so far and I cant seem to get them to work on my 3.52 M33-4.
I had it working when I had 3.40 oe-a but ever since I upgraded I can get it to work.
Anyone know what can b wrong?
Im trying to use CWCheat for my PSX games BTW.
Thanx
Totally wipe the seplugins folder and remake it then copy:
/seplugins/cwcheatpops.prx
/seplugins/pops.txt
/seplugins/cwcheat/cheatpops.db
/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheatpops.ini
Then enter the recovery menu and make sure the plugin is enabled and it should work.
0.1.9 R. F memcard support doesnt seem to be working with 3.71 M33-2 with the 1.50 (2) addon? or am i doing something wrong?
just tried it and worked fine on legend of dragoon
Who were you talking to there? Me? Because this is getting very annoying now... and I have no idea what could be happening.
how come i get an error when i run dbdownload?
i don't have that game so i can't try. but it's quite improbable it's cwcheat as i don't touch the memory card area if not asked explictly and i don't hook anything in that area

you have removed the first connection?Zitat:

@edit ups, sry everthing is ok...got an old version.
Here it is a new version of cwcheat: 0.1.9 REV.G
This release is mainly focused to some updates in the cheat engine for upcoming codes with the addition of a new code type: inverse jockers. It works like the normal jocker code but it's condition is inverted (no button pressed of the specified ones == don't skip lines). Plus there were some fixes on 32bit increment/decrement codes and optimizations in particular in the bitwise codes.
As for the other things the text reader loads the text file in the kernel ram if the screenshoot function is in compatibility mode (default) and an undo function while searching for cheats (check changelog)
Enjoy

Code:0.1.9 REV.G RELEASE
=====================
- [GAME] Added a new code type: inverse jocker code. It works just like the jocker code but it skips specified lines if the specified buttons are
pressed. 0xDnnnnnnn 0x2vvvvvvv n = number of lines skipped (n= 0 => 1) v = keymask
- [GAME] Corrected a little glitch in the 32 bit increment/decrement codes which could lead to them not being recognised by the engine.
- [GAME] various optimizations on bitwise operators codes
- [ALL] now the text reader allocates it's buffer on the kernel ram if the screenshoot compatibility mode is enabled (default).
For now this reduces the file size loadable when screenshoot compatibility mode is enabled.
This is the first steep for the text reader file reading management rewrite to let a teorically indefinite file size while keeping the buffers
as little as possible.
- [IRSHELL] in irshell builds Game name is cleaned when going in game mode, so if the game is missing in the db it won't be shown as "HOMEBREW"
- [ALL] Added a preliminar undo function in the cheat searcher. Press L while pressing X to enter the continue search to enable this.
- [PACKAGE] Separated the readme file in two files: one exclusively in english and one exclusively in italian
thx for another release :)

Hey welltall , The cheats for Monster Hunter Freedom are really hard to use because most of them don't have correct names. If I upload an edited cheats.db would you want it?
well a list of names with it's corrected one would be better
put also the id :P
ok, ill get it to ya ASAPZitat:
Zitat von weltall
basically all the ones that need renaming are the ones that say "itembox1"
Thanks for the release, but. .
Cwcheat-IRSHELL.prx still crashes my irshell 3.71 =/
i've tried even with usbhostfs still working fine maybe you did something bad with your irshell. i've just loaded it on the ms as is and went to the ms icon to load isos that's all and it works fine.
I know you can't fix compatibility with every game but is it possible you could see if you could find out why cwcheat won't work with Crash of the Titans? I know you're a busy guy so it's fine if you don't have the time.
i've analized this problem this afternoon (gmt+1) and cwcheat is actually loading and working fine, the only problem is that game uses too many psp resources and as cwcheat has a low priority it never gets a chance to do it's main loop.
if you for example keep pressed select or set the menu open with wlanup which is less annoying, you will see that sometimes the menu will come up fine.
to fix this i've tried putting the priority to 0x32 (in place of the 0x64, the game seems to run at 0x63 priority, at least the main thread). This made cwcheat work normally but i don't know if it could have any performance issues. i will put on the site a package with just the 3.6- 3.7+ irshell/game/lite prxes with this change but it won't be a real release
anyway here it is:

All codes by me, I'm working on the inf health...
ahh Weltall, more problems.
Was making some codes for Final Fantasy Tactics US and all was good.
Did 2 memory dumps.
And now for some reason memory dump doesnt work anymore.
it says its dumping, but no file comes out.
I do it 4-5 times, and then sometimes it outputs a MEMDUMP6.DMP but its 0 bytes.
And I kept trying and eventually a real one came out as MEMDUMP4.DMP
Mind you there is no 0-3 in there...
440mb free on the stick so I dont think its a size issue
Searching problems like that happened to me and it turned out to be the .ini. So wipe it out/revert to a good .ini and try again.
even a good scandisk / f sck is a good idea
Well chkdsk in cmd said volume locked.
So I did a windows one, said no probs but it made a FOUND.000 folder full of memdumps. So i just formatted it all and put the files back.
Its spitting out memdumps again so i guess all is good.
On 2nd thought i MAY have gotten too close.
I remember I was at 124mb free or so when i start dumping a couple. maybe I passed my freespace and corrupted something.
hey, im a real n00b with this and i have put all the prx files and stuff in the right place. how do i start using this? like in the god of war demo. thanks in advance
Enable the plugin in recovery mode.
i have. and then? what do i do to activate it in the game? and how do i enter codes? i have read the included readme without getting any answersZitat:

Oh...hold select down whilst playing a game. The menu should come up...its pretty straight forward after that.
All the cheats are in the cheas.db database file that came with cwcheat. The cheats should automatically load up.
thx! but... hmm... nothing happens when i try to press the X button for "manual cheat apply"Zitat:
Zitat von Jatt101
Ummm...I never really tried that function, you can search for cheat, add the address and then modify it in the list.Zitat:
Zitat von madsoul
Or you can go into the the database file and open it with notepad and add the cheat on your PC.
the "cheat.db" file...?Zitat:
