Yep he's playable! I'm too lazy to type up something about him so I'll re-copy the readme:
Covenant Jackal (from Halo) version 5.0 from Drake250.

I did not make the original sprites although I edited alot of poses.
The original spriter is Rayg, and they are awesome sprites!
Anyways:
-has a Plasma Pistol and Energy Shield
-very basic attacks that need polishing (hence the 5.0 release)
-no bugs (to my knowledge)
-light based character (weight not good or evil)

The Jackal is good but it needs either a more powerful attack with the plasma pistol or a faster shot with it. It is cool how he charges it up though. And for the other attack button, if you could make it so he attacks with the plasma pistol then that'd be cool. More like Halo and it doesn't make it disappear for a second. It is cool to have a 3-way fight between the chief, the Jackal, and Chief.
P.S. Are you planning on making a last character from Halo for a four-way battle? That'd be cool.
Actuallu I don't plan on making only four Halo Characters. I plan on making a Grunt, Brute, Honor Guard (Elite version, when the spriter Rayg finishes them), and Flood. I'd like to make a diverse selection of Halo characters. But all those characters take time, and I'll be slowly working on them while working on updating old ones.Zitat:

And about the Jackal,I never thought of a melee for the Jackal, mostly because All I ever remember Jackals doing are:
-Shooting annoying plasma pistol shots
-hiding behind their shields
-running away
-sniping me out of nowhere (legendary)
I'd like to give the Jackal a sniper, but SmashGP only Alows one projectile. I could make a Sniper Jackal varient, but I'd rather do a grunt or brute first.

Halo is a great game, I love it. I constantly have LAN parties for Halo 2. We normally have upwards of eight people. As for why it's so good, there are many reasons. One would be it's multiplayer is great, and bungie made online so much more than other xbox titles. Anouther reason for it's greatness is that it has very good controls, that could rival PC controls. Halo is a great game but defentanly not for everyone. If your PC is capable you should try of the PC version demo (unless you have dialup)Zitat:

And about levels: they are very complicated. I can make the Map in Mappy but then when I use ArenaEdit to convert it everything goes downhill. And the game freezes when I try to select it. I'll try a little longer on making Hyrule temple, and look around on Google hoping to find answers. If my arena becomes unsuccessful then I'll probably try to update Yusuke and the Jackal.

Well, N64 games aren't bad. If you have an X-box, then get Halo and Halo 2. If you don't then keep playing SuperMario 64, Conker's bad fur day, and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and buy a 360 in two months.Zitat:

Well Levels arn't that complicated, I just had to look at the incuded small example one to see how a working level was built. I did get a Hyrule Temple working but, I made it far to small, barely 4 people can fit on it. So I'm going to go re-do all the frames.
Hopefully I can iron out all the problems and make a guide for everyone.
