I decided yesterday to release yamcha.........
I was really fed up with him. No Not really but I would like to get feed back....

He has some of the other creators giltches mainly drakes grab... glitch srry dude
And I didn't add reversed smash attack and breaking sprites so he locks up when breaking but pretty able for my first almost finished char....Thats about it.
Basically I wan't to learn more about X and Y if tailsnake,drake, and the others could help me out that would be great....
But if anyone wants to work on him go right a head, even the guys who request characters, its a good place to start on a un-finish char.
Updates:? Hmm well knowing the caliber of talent in here there will probly be updates by others sometime soon.......But I will continue to work on him for my own knowledge and well being.... Later Im going to use sound on my other projects.

I was able to produce a cool effect for yamcha: If you do he's down O smash attack he actually telports, the only problem is I want him to be able to move while this is happening but any I need feed back hehehe..... peaceZitat:

I'm sorry but first of all no person expect for sega can copyright these sprites. In fact they are in a direct violation of sega.. I mean these sprites are free to edit to everyone but when people go out of the way to say these sprites are theres thats when it goes alittle to far......
Thats why I left the mugen world I mean these sprites are not original just a small edit and a recolor....
Dont get me wrong great job with the editing............
but I just think people need to stop doing that............
second of all this is kinda the wrong place to request....
read drakes guides or talk to tail snakes or anyone it is easy to start a char...

Sorry but alot of people disagree including me. Sega doesn't really care if we use these sprites. Otherwise this would have been shutdown long ago. Well they likely put a lot of work into the edit and don't want people using it since the average person on the net doesn't give credit where it's due. I can understand how they feel, but they have no real right to say you can use them.Zitat:

Can anyone help me with sound on my character? I've got the sound to work on the character when he does a certain attack, but it also plays whenever he gets hit. The thing is that I havn't selected any sound to be played when he gets hit, but it does. Anyone have any ideas on what to do?
The sound should be on move no. 65 (custom no.2) only. Can anyone see if they can sort this out please?

Is that sound one of the first three listed? If so that's becuase the first sounds is always played when hit, and the second sound is pleyd when he's hit again (something like that). and the third sound is for when He's knocked out of the arena (from the top). To fix this just remove all the sounds in CharEdit. Then add the 3 sounds for being hit first, then after the three sounds are added you can add your attacking sounds. Just make sure to re-edit the moves with sounds because they probably have the wrong sound selected after you removed them.Zitat:

And in other news my PSP died! I dropped when some guy ran into me accidentally. It fell out of my hand and fell maybe four feet and now it won't turn on! I sent it to Sony for repairs. Here's hoping I get back a working PSP with version 1.50 firmware!

Hey guys I decided to start to make my own character, Michelangelo from TMNT , anyways i cant find the APPLY button Drake250 talks about in his guide, is it the Correct Specs button. I think thats my problem right now because every time I put him in and select him a little star shows up at the bottom(which is wierd because I never had a star in any of my sprites) and my PSP freezes :doh:

Oh and is there any way of making charedits screen to fit perfectly, its a little big and have to shrink the toolbar to bare minimum, which then sucks when I try to switch apps

I dont know if its becuse the window is too big or if its because I have windows 98, and its not the file because I downloaded it twice, once from Drake250 guide and the other from some site on google

On a side note i am make a character with 150 weight, and 2 reach any platforms it needs more than 3 jumps! This is because as you make a charater with more than 100 weight, the editer limits the jumping height. I am finding it tricky 2 get the right balance.

OMG,, i finally got it working, just needed to enlarge my screen area and reload CharEdit,
Now i can go back on working with Michelangelo and many more hopefully

Ok, I've read through the first 30 some pages of this forum, and I havent found the answer to my problem. Basically, I'm using MS paint to rip sprites, I put basic movement, jumps (which work fine), hanging, etc... I use Bmp2paK and I use the pal00.act, the colors come out fine, the transparencies work, but some of the frames are blocks of static. The problem has probably been answered, but can anyone help?
