this might be alittle of topic, but for anyone with 2.0, theres now a downgrader, mhp downgrader is the name, i saw it at psp-spot, confirmed working, so for those who wish they had a 1.5 so they can play smashgp, your wish has come true, hopefully, let me know if im wrong

Do you guys think I should make a Level editing guide (sill no luck with the tiles displaying for me). It would help any of the people incoming (2.0 -> 1.5 downgrader), and I find kykiskye's guide good but I could make it better. A web based guide would look better than a text based one. Kykiskye's is good, I just thought one with pictures and such would be easier to follow.
Also that downgrader should open SmashGP up to more people. :)

Q: Where can I get Smashgp?
A: On matkeupons site, which is on the first post. The newest version is 2b.
Q: How do I setup Smashgp?
A: Put your two folders you downloaded in the Game folder and put all the characters and levels in the folder without a %(when you start it, it takes a while before it goes to the menu, but youll hear music when its loading)
Q: Where can i get all the characters?
A: You can get them from my site which is at the bottom of my sig.
Q: Can I make SmashGp characters myself?
A: Yes, Yes you can.
Q: Is there a guide to make SmashGp charcters?
A: Yes, It can be found on Drake250's website on his sig.(look right above this) It gives you all the files you need also.
Q: Can I make my own Levels?
A: Yes, go to my site, then go to the Levels section, and theres the program. There is also a mini guide made by Kykiskye

Try out my Rock Howard! Presently, none of his attacks work except for Reppuken, which is B standing. I've also added some sounds, and though his attacks might not work yet most of his moving sprites is done.
Please give me feedback. No bug reports please, not yet. I know there's a lot of things I need to fix.
OK, the Levels guide is done for now (I'll update it when we get new tiles working later.)
Pictures take up most of the guide so should be easy to follow.

Ah... I need a little bit of help again. After making some more sprites and adding some more moves to Rock, all the sprites are fuzzy now for some reason. Not all of them, just most of them. The ones that aren't affected are the Reppuken, the win pose, and some others.
Can somebody explain this? I tried reading the guide, but it didn't explain anything like this... It's a shame, really. The update was going to make Rock playable.
EDIT: Oh, and for those of you wondering who Rock is. He's the main character from a fighting game called Garou: Mark of the Wolves. I had to edit all his sprites to make him small enough to fit into the game. He's fun! :icon_smil

Alright, I'm seriously needing some help here. I can't find out what's wrong. Can somebody please take a look at my files? The zip contains everything that I use.
After a quick glance at your character I may have found what you did wrong. All BMP files must be kept under 6 characters or smalling in filename. I commonly use this system for naming sprites:Zitat:

AAA is the first three letters in your characters name.
EXAMPLE: If you made Mario you would use the "MAR" of Mario
BB is the move number.
EXAMPLE: If you made you Idle sprite you would use 00 as that's the move number of Idle.
C is if you have more than one animation. You put an A after your 1stanimation, a B after the second, a C after the third, and so forth.
Also you sounds are 8-bit not 16-bit. So they might play distorted. If they do you can email them to me and I'll convert them to the right format.
i think your bmps names have to be 6 characters, no more than that

hey guys! Srry to have been away for awhile! I know not many people noticed, but hey, I missed you guys! So there, don't you feel guilty you didn't notice I was gone? =P J/k Anyway, I didn't want to say anything, but wat the hell. I'm coming out with a new character. Anybody who has played Kirby Super Star (in Britain Kirby Fun Pack) will love this character. It's Sir Meta Knight. I'm currently workin on him. He should be finished soon. Hopefull by next week. Rock Howard is almost finished, just the rest of the B attack moves left as well as the use and smash staff commands! Good enough to release him. Please take a look at it, or if you absolutely must delete him after one battle at least take a look at the winning pose!

Hey Kykiskye here, two things I want to talk about....
One: I started on a new character today and I'm doing the X and Y programing right now so look for it at sousanators page...
Two: Epic don't worry I'll make that arena for you today... should be up around 4:00pm... maybe because I got to go downtown today.... but asuming that you go to school during the day by the time you read this the arena will be posted....
