I am working on this. The basic deal is.

If you are on any of dark_alex's firmwares, and it is installed on our UP modchip, this program will allow you to reflash the onboard NAND of the PSP from the UP, without having to reflash epsilon to the UP first.

For me this will be useful, as I no longer can reflash epsilon to my UP, as my FPC cable is broke. But it will also be useful for people to reflash on the go, rather than having to connect their UP to their PSP's first and flash epsilon, then go back to whatever they had. this program will run directly from 3.03OE (or any SE /OE firmwares) and load the epsilon recovery menu. Prom which you will be able to do everything it can do.

I am not requesting coder's or a program to be written, I will be both of those myself, but I do need one file from a kind UP owner. Below are the instructions on how to get the file. and if anyone is willing, please email the file to wacomalt@gmail.com or put it on sendspace or something and send me a link via PM.

Anyways, to get this file, which is the vshmain.prx from the epsilon bios, you must do the following.

Install Epsilon Bios (1.0 or 1.1 update) on your UP, and have 2.71 on your PSPonboard nand.

Install pspfiler onto your PSP, and launch it. go into hacker mode
(by pressing L+R+LeftDpad)

then press start twice to get to the flash0.

copy the file "flash0:/vsh/module/vshmain.prx" to your memory stick.
(press x on the file, then circle to copy to ram, then press start until you are on the memorystick, then hit x, then triangle to paste from ram.)

exit the program, and go into USB mode on your PSP.

get the file you just copied to me through one of the ways mentioned above.

I know its a large hassle, but this would really really help me out, and could make many people's lives a lot easier.

I will use this file to create the Program I wrote about.

As far as releasing the program, I cannot promise anything. I beleive the file I need is probably copyrighted by either Sony or Epsilon, and I didnt think of how to do this myself. "mathieulh" over at the lan.st forums told me how, and I am merely doing it, so I could take no credit for almost anything in this, but I still think it should be released.
