PxP is introducing a new Homebrew Coding Competition

12 MORE HOURS!!!

The Contest Will be hosted at my personal site, here. There will also be a thread on the PxP Forums, here. Feel free to post your questions here, but preferably post them at our site.

All release must be released at the PxP site or they will not count.

Update: We will not be stressing on the release at our site first. Feel free to enter you game/program anywhere, as long as it is new and is put on our forums by the contests end date.

Rules

Quote:

Entry must be completely original. NO UPDATES!
You may enter as many different homebrew as you like. All entries must not have been released publically (i.e. on another website) before the start of the competition (17th January 2007).
All entries must have a icon0 and pic0.
No emulators are allowed.
Any LUA entries must be in EBOOT format.
Source code must be included to verify authenticity.
Deadline for entries is 17th March 2007 NOON Eastern Time.
Submit entries by creating a new thread here. You will need to register first.
The cometition has no judges. Judging is done by public poll. Note that the polls will be monitored for any multiple voting. Offenders will have their entry disqualified.
Must include one of the following splash screens:

We will start taking entries on Wednesday, the 15th of January. The contest will end on March 15, exactly 2 months.

*When the prizes are confirmed, I will let you know.

creativity and overall goodness.... lol. i will open a poll and anybody registered can vote on their favorite. if we catch anybody making double acounts, all of their votes will be disqualified. You cant vote for yourself.

preferably one, but tbh, to enter them, they would be updates, which arent allowed. nothing previously released before the deadline can be used. just to keep it fair.

hehe, i dont think they, can (as the rules state, it has to be an origonal entry ...No updates /rules) so ya, i cant just update PvP Pong into this either, ...but I got something better in the works...

Come on yoyomacy... You should develope games because you can, not for what you get when you do...

Perfect timing for me, I just am starting on the gameplay of a project that is/was supposed to go into that g-pack thing. 2 months is plenty.

Also, technically you CAN enter more then one entry, but the odds of creating 2 new original quality games in 2 months is slim, let alone with school in the way (for some). I say this because the rules don't state one per participant. And to be honest, limiting how many entries will only hurt contest as I have 2 pojects I could finish in 2 months...

Also, maybe add like 15$ to paypal for the top 3 winneres or something, something to spice it up

unfortunately not first prize. neuros said that they will only ship to the U.S. due to extra shipping charges. i might be able to ship the other prizes to canada, but not the U.K.
