[Wip] Tank Wars

hi. im taking up this project as a break from assault, and for the new competition.


About:

Platform: duh
Language: C++
Type of Game: Action

let me explain what it is:

there are two tanks on the screen. Player 1 and Player 2. Player 1 sets his angle and power, and presses cross when he is ready. then, a bullet will be launched from the tank, and fly. if it hits player two, then he loses some health. etc.

here is basically how it will be:

TANK WARS


Jobs:

i need the following people:

gfx artist, who can make the tanks/barrels/bullet.
gfx artist who can make the backgrounds.
sfx artist for background music/effects.

GFX Artists: If you want to try, try and PM me with your tank/barrel. the tank and barrel should be different images. if i like them, i will use them and give you credit.

SFX Artists: PM me if you get the sound effects needed, which are:

sound of a gun shooting,
explosion,
background music.

P.S. there will be no beta testers. i will beta test. DO NOT AS/PM ME ASKING TO BETA TEST.

ingame. but as of now, tanks/barrels are much more important.

Hey Grimfate. Check this out. http://www.stonewashed.net/sfx.html I recommend going to "Amazing Sounds" They have a huge list of war sounds.

Scorched is different my friend. In Scorched, it is a 1 hit kill, but grim is suggesting health. (Amazingly enough, I still have Scorched on my PSP o_O)

Ok, then a Scorched Earth - Pocket Tanks mix? Cause pocket tanks is based off scroched earth but uses points in stead of health, each side gets a certain amount of shots to hit the enemy, etc. 'Worms' is based off Pocket Tanks as well (or other way around)

Grimfate - He did quite the job using vector graphics, and waaaay back July 05'.... Thats an incredible feat i think. Must you tamper with the pioneer's great work?

yes, its quite good that he did it with all vectors but here are some reasons why i dont like it:

1. everything is tiny.
2. random map generator. cool, but gets on my nerves for some reason.
3. bullets take forever to hit.


yes, its fun, but i think i can do better.
