- Team Duck - ------------- This is for just about any custom firmware version, including 3.03 OE-C, AND 3.10 OE-A. I've heard reports of this bricking 1.5's, so I wouldn't risk it if I were you. I made this mostly for my own leisure to test out the seemingly hundreds of custom xmb waves coming out lately. Just rename your system_plugin_bg.rco to whatever you want and stick it in the system_plugin_bg folder provided which should be in the ROOT of your memorystick. As of V3, you can now also include a screenshot of that particular system_plugin_bg.rco. Just make sure the screenshot is a PNG or JPG, and is named the same as its corresponding system_plugin_bg.rco. eg) superwave.rco & superwave.png/superwave.jpg I've also included a few examples for the morons out there ![]() Once you have all your custom .rco's in the system_plugin_bg folder, just simply run the program and you can select from them and easily install whichever one you want. ![]() V3.1 - 02/12/07 -- ~ You can select the destination where the file is flashed to (edit destination.txt to include the full path) V3 - 02/11/07 -- ~ Preview mode now available (PNG/JPG) V2 - 02/06/07 -- ~ Sharper GUI ~ Added backup and restore wave function V1 - 02/06/07 -- ~ Shows all waves located in the system_plugin_bg folder ~ Quick installation method ~ Various error checks to ensure a safe flash ~ Displays the last installed wave Download Thanks - Slasher Last edited by Slasher; 02-13-2007 at 07:00 PM.. |

Already had jas0nuk make me one, it backs up the wave before it flashes (plus securely flashes the wave).
But hey, cool menu.

cant you see the main feature? it lets you choose whatever wave you have on the folder, you can name them in their description (ps3lookalikewave.rco etc etc) and will rename it and reflash it on flash0 for you.. it has the nice last rco flashed thing too.. in which IMHO is a great feature...

Just a few suggestions, but do you think you could include USB mode so you can transfer files while the program is running? A preview of the waves on the theme would also be nice, if that's not too much trouble.

As for previewing the waves - I doubt it, but I'll look into it. In better news, I updated it to V2. Added a backup routine, and changed the GUI a bit. Black BG

I don't care for the usb, but the thing that would make this perfect would be to be able to choose where you want to save your waves (like edit a text file to the destination). That way you wouldn't have a folder on the root of ur ms.

@slasher... heres a suggestion... make it so that each wave has an individual folder with screenshots in it.. it will display the screenshot on the side so the user will see something before actually flashing..
provided the xmb wave has the screenshot pic, if theres not then it will display some custom message... i know its hard coz im just starting to code for myself too so i know all the fuss in coding anwyays, appreciate the bg change thanks for handling the users request cheers!

Nice and quick man. You gotta love the homebrew community. As soon as something cool comes around, BAM! You have peeps like Slasher from team-ducks.com bringing it with this. Thanks man this is saving me alot of rebooting time that can be spent flashing. Also I see this as a way to hone my hex skills, as I can check alot faster, on my two psp's. This should be on the front page if it isn't already.

Wow this is great! Much less annoying that booting into recovery mode constantly.
I agree that screenshots would be a nice feature in the menu. I doubt a true preview will ever be possible, but screenshots provided by the wave's author should be fine. |
