I dont know about you guys, but I used to ALWAYS play Avalanche on my TI-83 in school. Its a simple, yet addicting game. Well ive been working on a remake of it for the PSP, and its pretty much complete ( the basics ). I will also expand upon the idea, with powerups, boosts, and levels. I have to admit defeat on the graphics end of it though. I am TERRIBLE when it comes to character/object creation. Therefor, i shall call upon thee skills of the forum to help.

Here is my "sketch's" of what i need right now. As you can see, you have yoru avalanche falling spike, and your character, in its running right, running left, and stationary position. Try to keep the dimensions of each object the same. The Avalanche MUST be 40 pixel's wide, to preserve the programs settings.

Sounds good, I love the 86

It's not as popular as 83

I wish I could help ya, but I lack skills in character creation as well

Did you ever think about porting a game like Phoneix/Allecto?

Well, they have it on 86 also I think...

Hehe, no worries, because I have to buy a ti-86 this summer before school starts. AP Calc requires it :think:

Ah, you will find that it has higher quality games, just not as much. My AP Calc course requires on an 83 I think, I'm not majoring in math area so I'm not focusing on it (still ahead of the average student though)

Someone must be good with photoshop/paint!!

Oh and don't get an 86 get the new 89 for calculus. Being able to do simple calculus on your calculator is very nice and can you say 3D graphing????

well heres a few i tried, the spike is of my own doing, the person is taken from here

I can re do the spike if you want, i can change the texture and color especially easily

Well... the game is running. I put in giga's character. Im not happy though yet. The game just isnt completely fun. It needs something else. If a Frozen, Giga, want a private beta just so someone else can look at it and comment what it needs, just let me know here, and ill pm you it.

Ok, I have had the time to test it:

Results/Comments:
Graphics:
1.) The person looks great, but he does not really blend in with the background.
Suggestion: Make the background non-realistic (cartoonish)
Gameplay:
1.) Gameplay is smooth, it just does not seem right...
Suggestion: Make the gameplay faster (slightly), the guy seems to move too slow. With speed, the game is made more difficult.
Suggestion 2 (low priority): Maybe implant levels based on time survived (20secs-lvl 2 with 10% speed increase)
Sound:
1.) No sound right now: can implant in updated versions (not priority)

That's what I came up with, I'll post more whenever I stumble upon more

lol, you do know that the TI-83 is a graphing calculator?? 83 is just part of its name, don't know why Texas Instruments likes to use numbers like that.
