Sure.. I'll tell you how I made that wave.. First you take the Duality Wave.. mirror it horizontally and vertically.. I hope we could figure out some way to do this.. :tup:

hey Vulpix i got a question... what does the program do with the data we used to hex edit to change color and width? more to the point is there any way to change it other than a tga but also use a tga over it? ive been using the old wave editor and copying the hex values from the old deflate to the ones in tgawave but i cant find the same section of hex code for color and width.. you can make some cool waves by switching all the offsets around like nevada did... it would make sense if you cant do it now cause the program obviously makes that part of the rco from the tga.. so can it be done or what? and thanks for the cool programs

i tried manually flashing flash0 usb, and using the generic faslher, both just resulted in a brick

and i was woundering if anyone could could create the system_plugin_bg.rco for me, im thinking something went wrng with my try

and if its not to much trouble could you make me a baby blue and black set(if possible)

yeah you tga is screwed up.. PS says it cant parse file so somethings not right..... the original seems to be fine... so was it blue and black... or red? black doesnt work cause you cant use black it wont show but you can use other colors that are really dark

i was trying to change the original to red, by adding a red rectangle and overlayed the layer, and it came out red, exactly the way i wanted,

then i saved it the way the tutorial said, so is there another way i can turn the original tga to a red tga without making it wrong?

well I used the rco edit tool (1.5) and opened up topmenu_plugin and extracted the files in .they are as folows but have been renamed for mylself:

MIG tex_transparent,(not sure but its now green)

tex_parental,(parental control icon)

tex_fcs_parental,(parenta l control glow)

tex_umd,(UMD icon)

tex_ms,(Memory stick icon)

tex_fcs_UMD,(umd glow)

tex_fcs_MS,(ms glow)

i used photoshop cs 2 paint bucket tool, to fill the entire area in the pic but left the black lines alone, I also did this with most of the shadows so that they would be also green. I plan on reinserting the busy icon and now I'm trying to find the little swirly thing that goes around when you play music, I do not mean the visualizer.


Kinda off topic but still on: Can you replace the visualizer rco of 3.03oe with the one from 3.10 oe? i want the cool second visualizer on my 303.......:Punk:

tho its easier to change the hue than to overlay another color.. but yeah i misunderstood what you meant a bit i thought ya just wanted a triangle till i read it again... but xploren has it so and he did the original.. have fun.. i used that red triangle with the weird wave effect i made earlier and i totally morphs into a smiley face

yeah thats with the regular wave effect.. ive been making waves that move completely different from the regular ones tho most of them so far have been really chaotic but i got one that kinda folds over itself and i used that texture over that effect and for some odd reason it made a very clear smiley face then it turns into a cyclops smiley

I have been having some problems creating a working wave, so I was wondering how you created the triangle in the first place, because I have tried creating shapes, and then filling them in with the paint bucket, and pasting pictures, and nothing is working, my .rco seems to come out slightly smaller then it should. I am assuming you just used paintbrush, but I still am having issues.

P.S: I am using photo shop CS, if that means anything.

i used the paintbrush for that triangle but you can use the paint bucket just the same.. its prolly how you saving it or something else.. we'd have to see the tga to know whats wrong with it and cut and pasting images works too.. if ya know how to do it that is.. tho they look like crap so its only for the color unless you use one like crazyeyes did with the leaf.. hehe

So, how would I go about the cutting and pasting part, because what I have been doing is opening the blank(Black) template, and opening up the image I want, and then dragging and dropping the image onto the template. Only part of the picture shows up, but that doesn't matter to me, but would it matter to the program, and is that why I am getting the error, can't read file message, or am I just going about things the wrong way.

If it says "Error: Cannot read file!" or something like that, then try shortening the file name. It worked for me.....

ok the problem with that is the pic is prolly way bigger than 128 by 128 pixels
you have to shink it down.. but you also have to keep a certain amount of black in the tga so you cant fill the whole 128 by 128 but i think the template has a box to stay inside but sometimes you have to go smaller than the box or make black stripes like i did and dont drag and drop use cut then use the box selection tool and hit paste into so it goes right where you want it to go... i should run a tech support number or something lol

their is no box, we already found that out, their just has to be black in some places

Hey I don't know if anybody has found this out, or if has any importance, but I put text in, and it showed up backwards. Everybody probably already knew that, but I just wasn't sure.

i know that but it tends to work better if you just do it anyways cause most of the time your gonna want to put the pic in the middle unless you want the wave at the very top or bottom.. it just easier for thoes just starting this because most of the time you end up with enough black and less tga's that wont work

I found out that there is a maximum amount of RCOs I can have in my system_plugin_bg folder, and I had exceeded that drastically. I'm still having problems cutting it down, though. I have 1.1 MB of RCO's, and whenever I try to load WaveFlasher it crashes.
EDIT: Nevermind. Apparently, one of the files didn't have an extension, and that made it bug out.

Weird because I have over 2mb in my wave flasher system_pluggin_bg folder and I am on 303oe' and have no problems at all. I have it in GAME folder not game150
also check ur memstick and make sure you have a game303 folder and not game310. I have had glitches happen because of this, dunno why but i have.
