It doesnt matter. I would recommend upgrading to 3.10OE, so that if something goes wrong (like your battery running out mid-flash(VERY unlikely)), you can use the recovery menu.

I have been working on .9 for a while. I have switched to a program that lets me hex the file automatically better (was using FCUT now using X). I've also added a program that can recover TGA's from a RCO (on most RCO's).

If I can get size index writing done by tomorrow (need a program to write a value to a file in hex via DOS), it will be included in the .9 release.

I'm personally think thats not fair that people can take out tgas and do whatever they want with them. :(

These PS3 weaves are coming along great, how all thats left is expiramentaion on the HEX'ing part so that we can stabe the wave in toa consistant flow of syphoning light.

Anyone can reverse the method, Z33 posted the offsets.

My LightSaber pack....
I did try and make it look just like a Lightsaber but there was too much white. It "strays" across the whole screen. I wish I could make it move a little faster though.

I use imageshack.us for single pics (no registration required), and photobucket.com for multiple files.(free registration required). Its really pretty simple.

What the hell are you talking about???

what the hell he is talking about is the routine that morphs the picture - it still needs hexing. changing the picture doesnt change the speed or shape of the morphing.

the offsets that controls speed are found at 24292 decimal to 24296 decimal (found by z33). the biggest change is changing 24296 from 43 to 44 or 45. for me 44 is fast enough. i think 24292 to 24295 controls the speed in a more precise manner but like i said 24296 is the main one. if you still have trouble pm me and ill edit it for you if you want, or maybe i can post a picture of what to change.

also i was right - the 2 before it do also control the speed only to a lesser degree.
i was using the original xmbwave editor pack, sorry about the confusion, and yeah obviously you do have the right values. good job. :)

So what would a wave look like using this image?

Sorry for the lazyness but i use paint.net and all the formating values in the readme are alien to me.

I was trying to work out how the mapping works for the tga / wave.

Looks a bit Windowsy.

I really like this wave effect so I made a 2-tone in every possible combo....
I tried to speed it up but just one step up is too fast for me!
There are 73 different .rco' so I didnt bother trying to take a SS of them all.

Thanks. A month ago I didnt know photoshop very well I am learning alot.

crazy if one step is too fast use the offset before.
change the normal one to normal value and change the previous byte to something midway - say like 77 - and adjust from there.
if this doesnt work then use the faster setting and work back. same principal just in reverse.
im using atm 77 43 - which gives a wave thats about midway speed wise between the two settings.

Crap, I just found a broken .rco in my last pack. the red/pink doesn't show up. If anyone tries these waves and it doesn't work please let me know which one it is.

I did try a few different values but I didnt see much of a difference. One (I think it was offset 66 in the system_plugin_bg_deflate_ part3.bin from tgawave) made the wave stop moving once it hit the bottom.I will mess with it more in a day or two.

yeah the one that stops the wave is the previous offset that changes the wave cycle.
i found a reasonable compromise between the speeds with ff 11 43 from offset 65.

Well I've been at xmb customizing all week now. I am really taking this BUD theme to the max with a new volume bar, speaker icon and mini mute icons. I changed all titles but game and video just won't change. Crazy Eyes you have one of the best collection of waves that I've seen anyone put out. Photoshop is a wonderful tool isn't it? Well here are a couple screen shots and another small vid of my xmb ala the screenshot.prx
