Downgrade

This is a discussion on Downgrade within the PSP Development Forum forums, part of the PSP Development, Hacks, and Homebrew category; I think I might have a way to downgrade. If you where to get a hold of a firmware v1.5 ...

Lightbulb Downgrade

I think I might have a way to downgrade. If you where to get a hold of a firmware v1.5 Eboot and figure out what identifies it as that version, you might be able to change it so the psp recognizes it a 5.1 or some high number like that . Then it would alow you to downgrade thnking it was upgrading the firware instead. Unfourtunately I don't know anything about programing so if anyone who does wants to try this or if anyone has a v1.0 or v1.5 eboot they want to post here please do. I sure hope this works. :Pray:

I alraady tried that a long time ago.It says 1.52or wheaever you caled it but it won't upgrade.

Don't you think someone would have tried this? The updates are encrypted, so you can't go around and alter the files very easily in the first place. They are also dynamically signed, so that if they are changed in anyway they will not run.
