DEVELOPERS: Can't post a link to your release? Read this! + Developer Resources + Development Forum Rules

Due to this forum maintaining a strict anti-spam policy we have added a feature that prevents users with under one posts from posting any links. Due to this, any new developers may find that they too have, because of their post count, been restricted from posting links.

Obviously, we don't want this mean that you don't post your new releases on the QJ Forums. If you are a new developer and wish to post a release, please send a PM (private message) to a member of the forum staff and they will happily add the link manually to your post.

Thanks,
QJ Forum Staff

[READ BEFORE POSTING] Dev Forum Rules and Resources

PSP Programming Help (Lua and C/C++)If you are seeking help on Lua programming for the PSP, here is a list of links that you may find useful:
  1. Lua.org
  2. Lua-Users.org
  3. Lua-Users Wiki
  4. PGE Lua (Luaplayer.org)
  5. Luaplayer.org
  6. Lua Player Functions
  7. Evil Mana
  8. Lua Snippets (tactical penguin.com)
  9. Lua Snippets (QJ Forums)
  10. PSProgramming (Lua and C/C++)
  11. PSP-Coding.com (C Tutorials)
Need more help after checking the above links/resources? We have a Lua dedicated help thread, and also a C/C++ dedicated help thread where you can ask your questions.

Development Forum RulesDue to the increasing amount of programming help threads etc., I want to say a few things to those who are thinking of releasing a homebrew application/game on the QJ forums and/or those that want some help with their programming:
  1. Before posting for help, use the search function, there are thousands of posts in this section of the PSP forums and you may be surprised to know that someone may also have had the same problem as you.
  2. When creating a help thread, please add a tag to the beginning of the thread name indicating the programming language you are requesting help for: [C], [LUA], etc.
  3. If looking to release a homebrew application/game, please place the [RELEASE] tag in front of your thread title. Also, make sure to clearly state the homebrews name in your thread title (ie '[RELEASE] MyGame v0.1').
  4. We DO NOT allow requests. Any threads requesting the release or creation of a homebrew application/game will be promptly deleted with no warning. Multiple requests will result in the user being warned and even banned.
  5. QJ deals with unnecessary spam severely, this could not apply more than in the Development section. If found posting useless spam or parrot posts regularly you will be warned and/or your post deleted. Repeat offenders could face a temporary ban.
  6. Any help concerning the programming languages C, C++ and Lua should be posted here for C/C++, or here for Lua. Unless a fully justified reason is stated in the first post to why you have not posted in the stated threads, QJ may move any posts that are violating this rule with no warning, so if you cannot find your thread it has more than likely been merged with the programming help threads (you will know which one depending on the programming language you were referring to).
  7. Use [CODE] tags.
  8. If creating a WIP thread make sure to do add the [WIP] tag in your thread title. WIP threads will be monitored closely for spam and will be locked without warning if the thread goes off-topic or nasty in any way, ie flaming. Be aware that WIP threads are not releases and you may not get the same replies from that of a proper release. If possible, upload some images or a video for the members to see. Any WIP threads that consist of, for example, "I am making a game, here is a mock up picture" will be locked or deleted straight away without warning.
  9. Help us to help you. Don't hesitate to report any posts that you feel are against the forum policies. The most common violations are spamming and flaming, so report them before things get out of hand.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have an enjoyable experience in the QJ Development forum.

P.S. If anyone has suggestions for links to helpful programming websites, send me a PM. I am also looking for a list of C/C++ programming websites.
