Hey, I'm getting problems with M33 Firmware installation. My PSP was a 2006 USA 1.50 Purchase. It mainly lies in a previously mentioned problem with 3.41 Firmware Writing in the final stage of the installation process. I'm upgrading from 3.10 OE-A.
Then it just sort of stalls there. I left it on about an hour with no results, so I turned off the PSP. I've downloaded all the necessary files and placed them in the right spaces, 150.PBP and 351.PBP in the M33CREATOR folder in GAME150.Loading 1.50 firmware... OK.
Writing 1.50 firmware... OK.
Loading 3.51 firmware... OK.
Writing 3.51 firmware...
In the Game section of my PSP, there's a 32KB corrupted data that I assume must be the M33UPDATE incomplete eboot. On the very root of the PSP memory stick is "loadexec.prx" and in GAME150 is "M33UPDATE_351" with a 0KB EBOOT.PBP.
I've tried re-downloading the 1.50 and 3.51 firmware EBOOTs to no success. All attempts were done with battery power at 80% or above with the AC adapter plugged in, I've seen mentions of a UMD possibly causing problems so I think I should take out the copy of "Sid Meier's Pirates!" in my PSP but I am unsure of how well that would actually assist the process.
Can anyone offer some help?
