I am using 3.52 M33-2. I put a recovery folder with 1.50 in the psp, game, folder. I alos have "hide corrupt icons" enabled but ti still shows up as a corrupt icon. Should the recovery folder with the eboot alwasy be on your psp or only placed in there if you need to recover?
I think I have already found the answer. Only put it in when you need to recover(semi-brick)
Yup.
It will always show up as corrupt no matter what.
Rename your folders to
__SCE__(name)
%__SCE__(name)
...oh wait. You're talking about the recovery folder? Yeah, It's always like that.
Yea so is it normal for the update maker to take a painfully slow time on a sony card? Im up to like an hour already...
Yes, it can take up to an hour.
SanDisk ftw (as usual) lol..
trying to update to 3.52 m33-2. some questions...
Instructions: copy seplugins to the root of the memory stick. Extract the following prx of a firmware: /kd/popsman.prx, /kd/pops.prx, /vsh/modules/libpspvmc.prx and /vsh/modules/pafmini.prx and copy them to /seplugins/popsloader/ with names like popsman3XX, pops3XX.prx, libpspvmc3XX.prx, pafmini3XX.prx, where XX is 40, 51, or 52.
Activate the plugin in recovery and done! First time you run a game, it will let you choose pops version.
Next time will remember configuration for each game; press R to change it.
can somebody explain the bold sentence. my english is poor so i dont really understand it. should i delete the kd files mention after putting it to seplugins/popsloader? im not entirely sure about this. i heard that altering kd files will totally brick psp so just taking necessary precaution.
I had a sandisk, but someone stole it -_-...
dbox, download the 3.40 OE source code for the latest PSARDumper that will not crash when trying to decrypt the reboot.bin then move the psardumper folder into GAME150 if you are using a CFW. Then extract the DATA.PSAR from 3.40/3.51/3.52 update EBOOTs using PSP Brew or PBP Unpacker into the root of the memory stick then run the PSARDumper for version 3.40+ in the memory stick. Press O or X then go to the new flash folder created and take the files listed in the readme.
Those KD files aren't in your flash. There is NO risk of bricking - you're extracting them from another firmware update.Zitat:

ive been trying to customize the xmb of 352 m33-2 i can change some things but not others am i doing something wrong or is the xmb not as customizable as past fws?
It just as customizable as 3.40 OE...But I have no idea what your really asking....
well i found a guide on customizing m33 and i followed it i just dont know what to do after you extract everything do you recompile them into an rco or just flash them as is to the psp?
Has anyone had any problems getting the web browser to work? I just get that damn blue screen every time I boot it up
Format your flash1 (Recovery Mode > Advanced), or go to Video Settings on your PSP settings menu.

What kind of memory stick do you have?
Hi, I follow the guide "Installing 3.52 Custom Firmware on an OE or a M33 PSP:" once I get to the part load the execute m33 under game I see a corrupted icon which is normal i think. The file wont load it just say "this game cannot be started the data is corrupted". I have a japan version psp and firmware 3.40 oe-a, and would like to upgrade to this firmware. If anyone know what the problem is or have any suggestion (beside getting a new psp) on what i should do to get this firmware to work. It would be appreciated thank you.
Wait are you loading the eboot with the icon or the corrupted icon ...
thanks.. i can only find popsloader, else i dont know where to get them. where should i find them? btw, what does this update do? is it important?Zitat:

I'm trying to upgrade from 3.40 OE-A to 3.52 M33, I follow the instructions, then run the M33 Creator program, It completes, yet when I check my System, it still sasy 3.40 OE-A.
Can anyone help?
Go back to your memory stick under GAME, and run M33 Updater, and not M33 Creator.
Finally took the plunge and upgraded from 3.40oe-a and was surprised at how easy it actually was especially for a serious noob like me, even braved the update2 with no probs.
I do have a question though, i have seen various recomendations for various issues to format flash1, I know it's done through the recovery menu but once complete, does anything needed to be copied across to the new flash1 or do you just format and reboot the PSP?
Cheers
I just attempted to upgrade from 3.40 OE-A and it came up with the black screen with the Loading 1.50, Writing 1.50, Loading 3.52, Writing 3.52, Press X.
So I pressed X and it booted me back to the xmb. Then I went to check my system information and it still says:
System Software 3.40 OE-A
What should I do?
Umm, reinstall?
Do you mean Game > Memory Stick > 3.52 M33
or
Back to 1.50 and then install M33?
Edit: NVM silly me I did something while it was installing and when I got back I forgot to run the updater.
lol... Ran the creator, but not the updater eh? Seen that happen at least a half dozen times here (publicly). It probably happens a lot more, but people don't post it.
Hey, followed this guy, was perfect.. went from 2.50 -> 2.71 -> downgraded (using generic downgrader) to 1.50 -> then followed this.. now running 3.52 M33
Thanks for all the information!
can you explain it more like what am I going to do in the video settings and how do you formatting your flash1Zitat:
Zitat von Moose_Island
Just go there, you'll get a BSoD and everything will be fixed.
To format your flash1 go to recovery by holding R when you turn on your PSP, then advanced, activate USB flash1, and delete all the files.
if i delete my flash1 files will it brick?
No, it will not brick.
I got updated but what about the game folders. Do I make a game150 or a game352 and a game or both? Example psp is in the default kernal after updating 352. Want to play hbrew made for 1.5 put in the game150 or game 352 or game folder?
Sorry about noob question. Just got psp unbricked.
