You want to have all three folders. The recover setting allows you to choose what to do with the GAME folder (most people use the 1.5 kernel). The GAME150 always uses 1.5 kernel and the GAME352 folder always uses the 3.52 kernel.

Demos and a select number of homebrew will simply have to go in your GAME352 folder.

You probably have an asian PSP - go to Registry Hacks in Recovery and select Button Assign until it says Currently: X

Having that messed up is a sign of future problems.

To fix this and the ones you'll eventually get go to recovery, advanced, then activate USB flash1 and delete all the files.

What were you referring to there, exactly?

The X O thing. It means your flash1 is corrupted, unless he has a JAP region PSP.

Sorry if anyone else posted this before, but I didn't want to go through every page making sure noone asked this.....BUT MY UMD (socom ftb2)DOESN'T LOAD. IT JUST GETS STUCK ON ON THE PSP SPLASH SCREEN, I'V TRYIED DISABLING PLUGINS, BUT IT DOESN'T WORK.. ANY SUGGUSTIONS???
I know this sounds noobish but I am at a loss of what to do to get this to work. help asap. IF YOU KNOW WHATS WRONG CAN YOU POST HERE AND PM ME

Sorry if this has been asked. But I read the first 10 pages of this thread and did not find info.
When I run the 3.52 M33Update file, it starts working, then it says checking psar integrity.......incorrect psar.
then it goes back to the XMB and I still have the old firmware.

My firmware is 3.03 OE-C

Redownload everything and start over from scratch.

Also, what memory stick do you have?

I just successfully upgraded my PSP to 3.52 M33 but the Crash Bandicoot game I downloaded from the Playstation Store doesn't work.

Make sure it's in GAME and try setting your kernel to 3.52. As an aside, you may want to try updating to 3.52 M33-2

Changing the Game folder to 3.52 kernel didn't work, guess the update might work but I don't know how to extract prx's.

Games that are bought from the Playstation Network tend not to work on custom firmwares, unfortunately.

I am sending my (thanks to my dad) 3.51 loaded psp to foundmy to get it loaded with 1.5. Would you say that 3.52 M33 is a better cfw than 1.5, or should I play it safe?

I plan to load some homebrew and NitePR for Socom.

PS -- I'll let everyone know how the service is..

M33 has bucketloads of advatages, including, but not limited to, web browser, RSS, PS3 Remote Play, PSX Emulation, Homebrew, Recovery Mode (In case you screw up big time) and heaps more customization. You also have far better compatibility with games (Games requiring over FW 3.11 cannot be run from 1.50 - Devhook goes no further - M33 can run them, and future games with no trouble.)

tried with the original Memory stick, but the files are too big.

Moose, i hit a problem here as well, when i get to this point and press x; it start checking the Data.dxar file, but it says it is invalid and it takes me back to the XMB.

It's the memory stick then, there's no fix except for you downloading a safe one or getting a new stick.

I'm wondering about how to install m33-2 on my 3.52 m33, the instruction with the readme is not clear, or do i not need to install it?

* Download the update.
* Place the update folder in the following directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME150/'
* Run the update from your XMB, under GAME > Memory Stick.

So i dont have to touch anything with the seplugins?

that's what i did for upgrading 1.50fw to 3.52M33, do we need to do it for updating to 3.52M33-2 from 3.52M33 also?!

I bought it from a friend who bought it from a store on ebay but when he upgraded it with the same memory card on hes it worked. I am going to try to redo the m33creator and update again and see if it works.

hey I am new to all of this, I just purchased my 2nd psp after not having one for about a year. I would like to get into this changing of the icons and themes. I was told I cant dont this because I have the official Sony 3.52. Is there a way around this?

No. I'm afraid not.

There is no known exploit. So there is no downgrader being made, unfortunately.
