Please help, I have a NA PSP-1001 originally with fw 2.71, that I modified before it was learned that only one key for idstorage needed to be altered. My PSP suffers from the brightness/mute issue, and since there are now repair tools for idstorage, I tried to fix it.
I first tried ChillyWilly’s KeyChanger 1.1 and that detected many issues, which it resolved. But it did not fix the problem I had. So I tried another storage repair tool and that one said it ‘would not touch my psp, for sanity reasons’. So I looked abound and found that ChillyWilly had a tool to overwrite all of the key files, ‘IdStorage Manager’ IIRC. I ‘obtained’ the TA82 keys from a ‘friend’ and rewrote my PSPs key files.
Now my PSP will not read USD disks and still suffers from the same problems. I’m at a loss for words, as I assumed my PSP was a TA82 due to it’s original firmware. So I opened up my PSP to verify which motherboard I have, and it turns out that I was wrong. My board is a TA86.
Please, could someone be my friend, and email/PM me with some assistance? I know that I can’t beg outright, for what I seek, as that’d be against the rules, so I hope you guys can read between the lines and give me a helping hand…
