I've searched and found mixed reactions towards PSOne game compatibility on M33 firmwares I cant come to any definite conclusion.

I want to play my old PS1 games on my PSP. I have the original disks and can rip them to fit on the memory stick. How do I convert them so that they are playable ? DAX's converter that comes with 3.02 doesnt work.

The 3.52-2 update has some backward compatibility loader but I dont have the prx's. I used to play the games I converted myself from my discs on 3.40 OE-A.
I dont have the pops*.prx's from 3.40 either to try it.
