As everyone knos, 3.71 M33 has come out! (and we found out it was Dark_Alex :) and that it is pretty sweet. I thought about it, and wouldnt install until 1.50 Kernel addon came out. But i had pandora and such so i figured i would just to see how it is, and go right back down to 3.52 M33-4. So i copied the folders, 3.71 Eboot, very simple process. I run it, make sure 3.52 Kernel mode everything looks great.
Then i get to the end where it says to restart, and as i read you MUST press X (or O). So i did, and it looked like it restarted and went straight to the XMB, which i thought odd as i had the Coldboot enabled. So n e ways everything seems fine, stuff runned, i could shut off and turn back on, goto recovery etc. The instant i went to THEME SETTINGS, i got an error, press O, and got a BSOD, i thought no big deal as sometimes a newly installed/updated firmware sumtimes does this, so i press O, and the screen goes black, then the PSP eventually turns off. Turn on nothing, light would go off eventually, looked like a brick, recovery didn't even work! Another one of my friends on my AIM happened to him also. I check a lot of things, IDStorage problems, did a fresh install of M33-4 then updated. and it seemed to always do it, even when i would go to teh recovery of 3.71 M33 and format flash1 that bricked it too! It would only brick if u went to theme settings.
So today, i tried sumtin else. I installed 3.71 M33, after it was done it went to teh XMB. I knew if i went to theme settings it would brick. So i decided to go under system settings and restore to defaults, as that resets flash1. So i did, PSP said to press X to restart, booted back up, set up the intial settings, and everything worked, including the theme settings.
I am not using 3.71 yet, as i am waiting for the 1.50 kernel, but i was really wondering if this has happened to n e one else, and mby for sumone to test it on there PSP ONLY IF u have pandora to restore, just in case. My PSP is a TA-081/TA-079 (Pretty sure it is a TA-079) and would like to kno if this is affecting n e one else.
I REALLY hope it isn't, as there may be a lot of bricks!
EDIT: I DID disable ALL plugins!
