Hi. I'm new here and I have what may seem like a silly question.
A long time ago I upgraded a PSP from 2.71 SE to 3.40 OE A. Haven't used the PSP in a long time and now it seems that games that were running when the PSP was on 2.71-SE don't run anymore. They hang in the middle of the initial loading screens.
Now I'm a bit confused. Is it possible that the reason for the games not loading is because of a higher custom firmware? Doesn't it usually mean that you are able to play more games because of a higher firmware?
I've read stuff on this forum about downgrading but the topics are all about downgrading from official firmwares to 1.5 and then installing some custom firmware. Is it possible to downgrade from 3.40 OE back to 2.71 SE? If so, do I just use the same method that I did when I upgraded to 3.40 OE to put back 2.71 SE?
If someone can enlighten me on this, I would be really grateful. My stupid brother is giving me a hard time about upgrading the PSPs firmware to 3.40-OE A because he thinks that that is the reason why some games aren't loading anymore.
This is extremely funny because the PSP isn't his anyway. It was his and then he gave it back to my mom so that she would buy him a new cellphone so my mom gave the PSP to me but now, he doesn't seem to remember that and my mom won't correct him, but anyway, i shouldn't be telling you this but he's just making me soo mad that I want too kick him in the groin but instead I'm just typing really fast to relieve the stress.:Argh:
The games that won't load anymore are Fight Night, Luxor and NBA Live but the newer games that I have (which required higher firmwares) are working fine. Thanks.
