Hi, firstly, I am completely new to custom firmware. I would like to install DAX's 3.90 M33-3 on my psp SLIM VERSION (Daxter Pack), so that I can take advantage of using emulators and homebrew. My current firmware is the official sony 3.90. From what I have gathered, I will need a pandora battery and a magic memory stick with the update data on it.
I'm not so concerned about the installation, since I could find guides on that. What I am concerned about is what I will be able to use with it on my slim version. I know that the slim isn't so friendly with emus and homebrew since there is no 1.50 kernel add-on. (I hate myself for getting rid of my phat now!)
The things I would like to be able to do is:
- play N64 games with Daedalus R13
- use a snes emulator for snes games
- use a nes emulator for nes games
- use a genesis emulator for genesis games
-use a gba emulator for gba games
- play downloaded psx games
- and play PSP games from the memory stick
^ Those are the reasons I would like to use custom firmware on my PSP.
Will I be able to do all of those things using 3.90 M33-3 on my slim? What emulators of the systems listed are compatible with that firmware on the slim? What will I need to do to get all of those things to work?
Your help will be very much appreciated.
