Standard Water Ripple Viz working on FAT now

After installing 5.00 M33 i've seen the music player improved greatly. The water ripple effects works on fat but only if you have wallpaper. The slim waves patch isn't installed:

it might not look like it but it works.

It it me or is the Hide Corrupt icons option in recovery not working on 5.00 M33? i activate it but then in the memory stick it shows corupted data?
Scrub that, it does work like all the other CFW, it's just that if you have the Homebrew in Game folder instead of Game 150 then it doe'nt hide the Corrupt Icons, never has done, i tried on previous CFW and it was the same. I wish DA could patch it so that the Hide Corupt Icons worked for all Game Folders, its so annoying as i hav to put the Corupt icons in the Game folder as the only way to boot 1.5 Homebrew on Slim PSP is with eLoader and that only sees and boots Homebrew in the Game Folder not Game 150 folder.

To be honest i dont even know why the CFW on Slims still creates 150 Folder and has the Kernel setting in the Recovery, its not like anything can be booted from that location as the Slim doesnt have 1.5 Kernel access?

In my Recovery the Game Folder is always set to 5.XX Kernel, but it's pointless as 150 Folder doesnt work and we have Game 5XX Folder for all 5.XX Homebrew. Is the Game Folder for putting PSX Eboots in? i always have done this.

Answer: Your PSP is bricked. Try holding down the RTRIGGER while your PSP is working to see if it enters recovery mode. If that fails - the only way to solve it is with pandora.
how can I do that when my PSP no longer even takes me to the XMB where I can make a Pandora battery? (or is that not how it works?)

I just need to know what I can do, now that 5.0 M33 bricked my PSP...

I installed 5.00 M33 successfully, but isn't the new Firmware supposed to have a new 01-12.bmp with black and navy blue colours? Why the do I still have the old one?

    Anyone else facing this problem?

It has the same colors. You may be thinking of the slim-only colors.

    I never noticed a new 01-12.bmp.

And I just make a new one to fit my backround needs anyway.

    installed DDCV7.
then i restarted my psp and chose install 4.01 M33

The PSP Store is the best thing about the update. I hope they improve the web browser in the next updates though, it really is poor. Hardly any websites work properly. Hell even my brothers Nokia phone web browser works better than the psps.

thought sony was supposed to block off CFW PSPs. I got on the PSN no problem and downloaded a few demos.
I'm having trouble with 5.0 m33. When I try to log into the playstation store for the first time, it says: "A system software update for the PSP system is required. For update methods refer to the instructions for the PSP system. I see other people raving about the Playstation Store from the new CFW. Why am I different? Did they really patch it in the last hour or two?

I'll be switching to the classic wave theme too. I don't think I'm liking the new one.

Yeah OFW 5.01 has been released. Gonna be a pointless tit for tat if CFW keeps updating for the store. I see a need for a piece software release to stop sony's checks abit like the usbfake plugin, if possible.

    Standard question for you guys

    I am on 4.01 m33-2 on a fat. I want to go to the new 5.00 m33.

Some reports of the wi-fi update bricking so I want to do manually.

Instructions on DA Readme it says:
    --------

Instructions: Copy UPDATE folder /PSP/GAME/ and run.
Put the 5.00 sony update as 500.PBP in same folder, or let the program download it for you using a wifi connection.

    ---------

That looks like I dont put the 500.PBP in the Update folder until AFTER I have run the M33 update.

So do I put the 500.PBP in the Update folder at the same time I am connected to PC and am putting M33 Update folder in PSP/GAME? Or do I RUN the UPDATE M33, then reconnect to PC and put the 500.PBP in the Update folder?

I think in the past you have to put the Sony OFW PBP in the Update folder BEFORE you disconnect from PC and run the updater for M33.

Can you guys clear this up for me or do you think the wi-fi is safe now for updating?

    Thanks alot.

    - Copy the UPDATE folder into /PSP/GAME/
    - Get the 5.00 sony update from somewhere, and put it in same folder, with name "500.PBP".
Alternatively, you can let the installer to download for you via wifi.
    - Run it, the update will be done by Sony updater. At the end when you are asked to reboot the
PSP pressing X or O, do it.

    - Run it, the update will be done by Sony updater. At the end when you are asked to reboot the
PSP pressing X or O, do it.
Thanks, so I DO put the 500.PBP in the Update folder BEFORE disconnecting from PC and running M33 Update, correct?

Or you say I can just put the Update folder in PSP/GAME, run the M33, then it will download the sony 5.00 via wi-fi?

Has anyone just used the Wi-Fi update to do the whole thing?

    -=Double Post Merge =-
put the update in GAME, ran it, it downloaded 5.00 PBP, ran the update and at the end got a blue screen with all kinds of languages saying some settings were corrupted.

Everything seems to work but my X button is now acting like the O button. They are switched like on a JAPANESE PSP.

What the heck do I need to do now?

    Any help appreciated.

The blue-screen is normal, and I got one too, no biggie.
For your buttons double-check the configuration in your recovery mode and try different region settings I think.. Or could look under registry hacks in recovery and swap the x and o buttons there also.

    Standard success!

weird, the Fake Region as America did not change it, I think that is for UMD Videos.

BUT, the Registry Hacks DOES HAVE the option to swap the buttons. It was set to O for confirm and I changed it to X, and DONE!

    Thanks!

On a side note I just got back from taking it to an expert to get it fixed. He tried everything including a nand dump and could not get the X and O to go to normal.

He first pandorized it to 3.80, then 5.00, got the same blue screen in many languages saying that some settings corrupt and went "Whoa, never seen that before"

In the end he said I must have a few bad Sectors that could not be overwritten and I would just have to live with it.

So I got back with the same 5.00 M33 working fine but X and O reversed.

Read your reply and it worked! Atleast I can use it now without being frustrated.

I am still unsure if he was correct that I have a bad sector somewhere that cannot be overwritten.

Okay new issue here: I upgraded to 5.0 cfw already and I want to trick the PSP into thinking the 5.01 is really the 5.0. When I try to run the loader again, it says that the current f/w is already updated or higher and then it sends me back to the XMB. Should I just simply copy 5.01 into my folder and try and update, or do i risk bricking my psp?

    Thanks!
