I recently acquired a psp from a friend who had believed he had killed it completely as it was bricked, i told him i could fix it once i did i tried to give it to him and he just told me to keep it because he had been given his other friends psp because he no longer played it.
So i got a free psp well shortly after fixing it i had noticed that if i went into the settings it would blue screen of death every time, re flashed same problem, i guessed that maybe his flash1 was corrupted or damaged. So i just used it for umd games and such while my normal psp sat in its case in my unless i wanted to play an emulator. Then once i went to use it in the last week it was bricked again and its flash refuses to fully reformat using the pandora battery. it just freezes at around 75 percent where it tries to make the directories, so the firmware wont flash. What can i do to fix this and what causes this, Im guessing that his flash0 got corrupted or damaged im guessing???? |

It could be messed up NAND. I'm not sure how, but theirs probably a way to run Keycleaner to see if there a NAND errors stopping is from fully installing.
Also making sure your using the latest Pandora installer like DC 8, which I think is the latest. There are probably alternate Pandora installers floating around out there. Another tool you could try running is PSP Tool 0.9 to clean things up. I really have no idea, but these are things you could try.

If you are using DDC8, before flashing your psp, you need to fix the NAND. The good thing is that DDC8 has an option to remove your current NAND and install a new one based on your region. So do that, then reinstall CFW. If that didn't work, then I have an another solution.
