If I download/buy Final Fantasy 7 from the PlayStation Network, will it work with my 5.00 m33-6 PSP?
I don't want to deal with getting eboots of each disc working with my PSP with Popsloader, etc, because I don't have physical copies of the discs anymore (I got my copy stolen years ago) and sometimes you can't trust other people's rips available out there. |

Yes but you must do a trick.
Open your flash0 and go here -> vsh/etc/ Backup the version.txt Then open it with notepad and replace it with this Code:
release:5.51: build:3218,0,3,1,0:builder@vsh-build6 system:52303@release_551,0x05050110: vsh:p6427@release_551,v52628@release_551,20090605: target:1:WorldWide

PSP 3001 Using ChickHEN R2 and CFWE 3.51. Everything was working fine and I got a little too curious and wanted to use the PSN Store. I went into flash0 and changed the version.txt to contain only "release:5.51" without the quotes. Then I went into the CFEW options and changed some things.
First I changed the option that lets you choose what version txt to change to, I chose version 5.51.txt. Second I enabled Hide Pic0 and Pic1 (Because I thought this was the startup screens) Then I enabled Use version txt. After that I got the RSoD with the 12 languages. I can turn the PSP on, enable chickHEN, and even make it to CFWE (only if I hold R when starting it) But if I try to install to get to M33 CFW loaded I get the RSoD. Does anyone know what I can do to get some CFW back? I've tried formatting my card (using PSP format) and restoring default settings. It seems like first I need to see whats in my version.txt but I don't know how to get to my flash0. Any ideas or is my brite going to have to play the wait game until the next big crack? Thanks if anyone can share some insight. edit: I tried GEN-A and I got the same RSoD after I installed and hit reboot. At the RSoD I am able to hit Select and get into the recovery menu. I'm going to try a hard reformat of my memstick through windows. Fixed: Recovery>Switched Use version txt to disabled. Now running GEN CFW. Last edited by Hedberg; 07-10-2009 at 09:55 PM.. |

on chickhen r2 just use hellcat's recovery flasher 1.60 to install 5.00 m33-6 and after that you will no longet need to run chickhen to run homebrew
-=Double Post Merge =- and 5.00 m33-6 will let you use psn without editing anything Last edited by sky_warn; 07-17-2009 at 11:58 AM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
