Custom Firmware POC mods

sorry if this is in the wrong place guys.
anyway awhile ago some1 made a psptheft program which would send u a email if your psp was stolen and plugged into a computer other than yours.
my question is this.
is it possible to make a prx for custom firmware which will allow u to enter the ip addresses u use.
but email u if unknown ip address is used.
if it is a prx or part of a custom firmware it might make it more secure and stand a better chance of gettin your psp back if it is part of a flash program.rather than just sittin on your memory stick.

so what do u guys think.

I can't get the record.prx to work either? Any one got it working?

Am I the only one feeling confused about all these "boot combos" like; Hold X + LTrigger meanwhile you change valume to max and putting the wlan swich into the lower position. Why don't the fw programmers create a FW with a menu instead? Maybe i should do it myself, that's the only way somethings gonna happen :P

to get my menu press o while booting. I thought it was a good idea. The readme isnt very good, let me know if you need a hand getting it installed.

you feel just like me i cant wait for one iwth menus which could be editable :D and all those combos are hard to remember thats hwy iu dont use them :D

think anyone can repack for 2.71 or check out why this wouldn't be working?

This is my own mod. It allows you to boot two different settings of Devhook. Meaning you no longer have to reboot to 1.5 and change your settings in devhook to use ISO or UMD's. Wink You can leave the UMD in the drive when you boot to ISO 2.71.

a) Copy UMDHOOK.ini to ms0:/dh/
Copy UMDBOOT.PBP to ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/
Copy 271BOOT.cso to ms0:/ISO/

b) Open the config.txt (ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM) and modify the line (line 18) "ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/UMDBOOT.PBP". (see example below)

c) Run devhook with your ISO pointing to 271BOOT.cso (this is your wlan off setting now)

Controls during boot:
Hold X button to load UMD Devhook
Wlan Down to Load ISO Devhook (you can leave the UMD in the drive during boot)

This mod uses a Modified devhook eboot to run a specific ini file for UMD booting.

Yes, that would be the correct way to do it.

To the above poster: To boot into recovery mode, turn on PSP then quickley push power switch all the way down.

Could some one post a link on how to actually perform a recovery?
Your supposed to have the vshs. (or whatever) and the recovery.elf on the root of the memory stick right? Any mods that let you use the analog in the XMB? Thanks in advance for the info.:)
