Certain customizations can cause the PSX emulator to freeze.Zitat:

Try going to recovery, toggle usb.Zitat:

Make two new folders
X:/PSP/GAME302
X:/PSP/GAME150
Try putting the psx games in GAME302.
Also, do you have keys.bin?
I have keys.bin and i have custom everything :(
That might be the problem....Zitat:

Try changing back to default font or something and see if it loads.
Still freezes even when default font is on.
You're probably going to have to reinstall 3.02 OE-B to use the PSX emulator.Zitat:

Noooooooo! Omg, so i can't have a modded psp?
The file MUST be in the GAME folder, not GAME302 or GAME150, either it is 1.50 kernel or 3.02 kernel. If it its not in the game folder it just doesnt boot giving an error.
But it didn't give an error, i just saw my theme the wavey lines and the time lol, reinstalling oe...
My OE-B PSP was running PSX games just fine and it came up with these errors all of a sudden as well. I guess ill have to reinstall OE as well:pZitat:

Is anyone else having this issue? I have "Hide Corrupt Icons" enabled but they still show up everywhere.
I found this on PSPHacking101 forums:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/966
Its supposedly a "noob-friendly approach to easily install Dark_AleX's 3.02 OE-A custom firmware with recovery menu."
Anybody here tried it yet?
Is it safer to use than the long method of oeupdmaker and oeflasher?
I used the long method: it's best to use the long method so that you can avoid remaking the DXAR file (i.e. keep it) like how SE-C required us to do a fresh install.
I've looked for the answer to this and maybe it's a noobish question but...... Are you able to switch memory sticks while using this firmware? And if you can, do they have to have the exact same directory structure? Is there any chance of bricking if you switch memory sticks while using this firmware? thanks in advance...
Oh and also, what is the exact directory structure required for this firmware? I know you need an ISO folder in the root what other folders are REQUIRED?
ok. i've had a very successful day downgrading. i'm a happy user of 3.02 OE-B on a TA-082 motherboard that was at 2.8 up until this afternoon. i thank 0okm for that. and i thank Dark_Alex for his custom firmware.
now to my question. is it possible to launch a .dax file? i've gotten most other things to launch, but i cant figure out .dax files.
thanks.
-= Double Post =-
thought of another question.
does devhook work in 3.02 OE-B? if so, could someone point me to a howto or something?
at magick2401, you cant brick your psp by switching memory cards..
just give both memory cards the same file structure and everything should work fine..
at murrowman why dont you try the .dax file.. if it works then you know..
and also why do you need devhook? you already have a high firmware running on your psp...
What if I do the oeudpmaker step to create my DXAR file for future use then I do the shortcut method?Zitat:

@ murrowman
Did u do the long method also for ur downgrading?
Happy to hear tha now v2.8 is quite stable, but sadly I still in v2.81. Just like to find out is there any ideas that PSP v2.81 will be able to downgrade like like PSP v2.8, coz got a forum say might not be having drowngrader for v2.81 be straight to v3.0.
Sorry, I just new to PSP.
Well, I think there's no problem anyway, don't u think? In case no downgrade thing is possible for your 2.81, just upgrade to 3.xx and then downgrade :humped:Zitat:

Sorry for the joke, but happened to me the same. I had first to upgrade to 2.71, and then downgrade to 1.5. Then the story has been told many times: 2.71 -> 1.5 -> 2.71 SE-C -> 3.02 OE-A -> 3.02 OE-B... waiting for the 3.02 OE-C or perhaps... 3.03 OE-A (as I heard it's on the way):Punk:

Thanks for comforting me...
Well, after downgrading my TA-082 from 2.71 to 1.50, this process went extremely smooth. Now I need 3.02 OE-B right?
Thanks again to everyone who made this possible.
I upgraded to 3.02 OE-B and everything is working perfectly .. except for one thing , my sims 2 "pets" save is now corrupted. It's the only savegame that became corrupted out of all my UMD's and homebrew.
Is there any way to fix the corrupted savegame without having to start over with the game again?
Thanks inadvance.
Where's the guide for the 3.02 OE-B installation becuase everything went smooth?!
http://dl.qj.net/3.02-OE-B-by-Dark_A...1922/catid/114
There isnt a guide. All you do is install it.
Ok wait. I downloaded the file you gave me and in the readme it says.
Place the folder OEB_UPDATE inside /PSP/GAME150 and run it.
Will I have to create this GAME150 folder or can I just place the OEB-UPDATE folder inside GAME.
Create the GAME150 folder inside of the PSP folder.
Do I have to have a UMD in when loading an ISO? Do I have to turn off any options if any?
Just a few questions.
I had a TA-082 2.80 PSP. Today I downgraded to 2.71 HEN-D, and now I'm at 1.50.
So Is it safe as me a 1.50 user to upgrade directly to 3.02 OE.
Or do I have to do 3.02 OA, then 3.02 OB, THEN 3.02 OE
Also does 3.02 OE keep all the same things from previous 3.02 custom firmware updates?
Have a umd in drive. Click mem stick icon under GAME. Click on flashy picture of game.:Jump:Zitat:

it is perfectly safe (aside from the slim chance of a brick). you need to upgrade to 3.02 OE-A and then update to 3.02 OE-B. both are very easy and perfectly safe if you follow the directions step by step and not skip anything.Zitat:
Zitat von Videodude132
3.02 OE-A/B has all the functionality of 3.02 plus the homebrew capabilities of 1.50.
that's what keeps me in 2.71SE-C. I prefer save games than 3.02 functionality. It's a minor number of games that gives corrupted save games but it's weird most people don't notice this problem on 302OEZitat:
Zitat von Buckethead
Most people probably didn't really care about their saved games.
I know that when my some of my save data showed up as corrupt, I just said oh well and moved on.
3.02 functionality far outweighs any saved games.
My primary reason for a PSP is for gaming. so to me my save games outweights any 3.02 functionality.Zitat:

Well use your nugget! Backup your mem stick before doing things!!:rtfm:Zitat:

I'm sorry but I don't consider myself a noob. My 2.71SE-C works perfect. As soon as I upgrade to 3.02OE A or B, the very same save game that worked perfect on SEC fails on OE. Of course I backed it up and formatted the MS and still gives corrupted save games on some games.Zitat:
Zitat von -Snake-
As far as RTFM, I suggest you do the same and post here any citation regarding leggit umd games giving problems on game saves.
Hmm.. Why is it so hard to upgrade? I cant beleive the amount of people asking such questions, when you can easily find out yourself.. like the question about having a umd in, and playing isos.. it would have been a lot faster if that person just tried opening a iso without the umd, instead of asking that one question...
even tho that dude says not to ask questions^ ..., i am getting an error wher trying to make the dump that says something about something not being fond(illl put exact message when i get home...)help pls.
I recently upgraded to 3.02 OE-B and all was well and then on day i turned my psp on to see a white background instead of a red background and although isos and psx games still run none of the homebrew that i tested as working (such as gpsp) is working anymore. I have re installed 3.02 OE-B and it still wont run. I rhnik that somehow my psp has restored itself to default and there is an option somewhere that i just need to tick and homebrew will work again. Any Ideas?
good gosh you failed. you cant even get a game save workin correctly...i laugh. hardy har harZitat:
