I recently upgraded to 3.02 OE-B and all was well and then on day i turned my psp on to see a white background instead of a red background and although isos and psx games still run none of the homebrew that i tested as working (such as gpsp) is working anymore. I have re installed 3.02 OE-B and it still wont run. I rhnik that somehow my psp has restored itself to default and there is an option somewhere that i just need to tick and homebrew will work again. Any Ideas?

Maybe I'm wrong but your red/grey background is a matter of in December the default PSP BG is Red and in January is Grey. The BG changes every month to a new color.

I've just ran the oeupdmaker and it took about 15 mins+ to generate the DXAR file. Is that okay? I've read in the guide it takes about 3 mins.

I'm sorry that you have a mental disorder. not my fault. the same game save file works on original firmware and on SEC. not on OE. not even game saves dled. as I said it's on a very few games. OE problem not mine. now get a life.

Cheers for the info on the background maybe i just need to take all the homebrew off and put it all back on one by one and start again from scratch. Ill let you know how it goes.

brilliant ... just downgraded from 2.71 the other day, tried devhook 0.51 worked ok, but couldn't stop it crashing when exiting from games higher than 2.81, eventually gave in and went 3.02 OE-B and how glad i am, this is great ...

ohh and absolulty no BSoD at any point, i was gettin loads of BSoDs using devhook though

Also 3.03 OE-A uses the same installation method as 3.02 OE-A except of course you must use the 3.03 update.

do we have to manually check the MD5 & SHA1 of the generated dxar.data for 3.03? or is is like 3.02 where the program checks for it automatically?

I had that problem when I installed 3.02 oe way back, that was caused by my plugins

I just disabled them then enabled them later on, the chinese or garbled characters should be gone

I put an .iso into the ISO folder in the root of the MS. So how do I go about playing it? It doesn't show up under game...

I'm having trouble with this. I have a 1.50 PSP and just formatted my 1GB memory stick. I followed the directions and downloaded the correct files via the links provided within the initial post. Where I'm getting stuck is at this particular moment;

"Now, In the PSP, Go to GAMES > Memory Stick and start the OE UpdateMaker.
A bunch of white text will come up.
Once it finish (takes about 3 or so minutes),"

The problem being that it won't finish. It does what it has to do with the "150.PBP" but then doesn't complete 'extracting and packing 3.02 firmware...'. It's been running for about 20min right now.
Can anyone help me out, please?

Hey how come it says corupted data after dragging the 2 oeupmaker? i see one is normal OEUPDATE MAKER , other one is corupt?

Just run the regular oeupmaker.

Remove the .PBP from the names of the EBOOTs.

Should be around that size. It should be okay though once the oeuptmaker says that its got the correct sha-11.

After I did the oeuptmaker it gave me green text saying everything is good but me being paranoid I need to make sure I am doing everything right since I'm writing to the flash and dont really want to brick like those ten people in the 303oe brick poll.

Wicked! I got it to work. I'm just wondering now how I get my ISO's to work as well as how to get my PS1 games to work. As far as my PS1 game, I have 2 files. One is the EBOOT which rather large of course, and the other is a ISO file called "KEYS"... do I just place the both of them in the PSP/GAME folder or the PSP/GAME303 folder?

you have to bring your psp to 1.50 before aplying 3.03oe!

Thanks, i found out and i downgraded to 1.50. Just one more thing,
to put 3.03oe now i just have to follow the instructions in here???? or i need another guide?
