ok so i have a psx game i would like to play on this. what should i do? do i put it in the F:\PSP\GAME make a iso folder there and place it there?

I have completed disk 1 of FF9, i have 3.03 oe-b when i try to load up the save data for disk 2 to work, its says no FF9 save data not found! :@ anyone have the same probelms? or what can i do to play disk 2 :)

just updated to B and now no Iso will not load from Mstick, PSP just resets, whats going on?

Yes,
Just sorted, I updated the 303 patch but didn't realise I was still on 302!
It updated the system info to 303B but wouldn't run nothing. :Argh:
So I downloaded the 303A install and it updated ok.
Everything works fine now. phew! :Jump:

I hadn't been on here for a while and didn't spot the 303A update, just thought there was a new patch.
Note to self.... must check and double check everything next time :humped:

The guide doesn't make it clear enough.

Uhm, navigate to the "USB" icon on your PSP and click on it while the cable is plugged to the PC? If you are running Windows XP, it should autoload asking you how to open it or etc... If not, then just go to my computer and look for the "Removable Drive" or something like that.

Yeah it would do that before all the time. I'm gonna try it again and restart my computer to see if it works.

I think you need to go into "My Computer" and select your PSP Memory Drive from there.

Probably because windows cant detect your psp so you have to do it manually

Goto 3.03 OE-A then 3.03 OE-B.

To update to 3.03 OE-A do it the same way you did it to get to 3.02 OE-A...put the 1.50 update eboot in oeupmaker named 150.pbp and the 3.03 update eboot in oeupmaker named 303.pbp then make the DATA.DXAR and flash it. OE-B is just a five second update, you don't need to generate the DATA.DXAR again.

You can USB mode in recovery, so no need to worry.

This FW is absolutely incredible; perhaps I am jaded, but I'd say that due to PSX emulation, I like it more than 1.5. I could ask for nothing more from this, but will say that I need a new MS to pack some PS1 games onto.

I'm kind of half-impressed with the compression (not that it really takes away from the package). Is this the actual standard Sony is using for PS3 Marketplace games? If so, maybe the community (myself included, if I ever learn about developing) needs to take it further and work out their own compression standard for PSX ISOs like we did with DAX and .CSO. Same concept, different application.

Also does 3.03 OE-B still have problems running FF8? It randomly crashes on 3.02 OE-B

Are the steps really the same even if you're upgrading from 1.50 or 3.02 OE-B?
So even if my fw is 3.02 OE-B, it's the 150 eboot i need together with the 303 eboot for the DXAR dumper?

Is it better to go back to 1.50 and have a clean flash of 3.03 OE than going directly from 3.02 OE-B?

I've compressed FFVII at level 9 and it runs FINE. Maybe just a minor slow down going into battle. Oh yeah, and it doesn't have the battle animation when you encounter an enemy. The screen just freezes, the music plays, and the battle begins.

FFVIII I don't know...I've only played far enough into the opening sequence because I was too busy playing FFVII.

Just upgraded... nice tutorial, spot on.

However if I want to reinstall 1.5 the following doesn't make sense, because in the 303oe.rar and OEB_UPDATE.rar that I got does not contain the recovery folder !

How do I uninstall 2.71 SE/3.03OE?
Open up the .rar file for your custom firmware.
Open the download .rar file, and open up the flasher for recovery folder
Now, extract the RECOVERY folder to X:\PSP\GAME\ (so that it is X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY)
Now, download the 1.5 Update
Rename the update from EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP.
Copy it to X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\, there should now be 2 .prx files and 3 .pbp files
Turn off and turn back on your PSP, holding the 'R' button. Recovery console will come up DO NOT PANIC!
Scroll to Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP, and press 'X'
Some purple writing will come up, press 'X'
You now have a 1.5 PSP
