Does this firmware have a way to load devhook and other stuff with different key combinations like harleyg's custom firmware?

" Controls (while booting):

* WLAN switch down: Loads devhook
* WLAN switch up: Loads XMB
* HOLD on: Loads configuration and recovery mode
* X: Launches autoboot eboot "

Haven't really tried but you could located devboot.pbp for your version of dh and put it in seplugins and edit vsh.txt and try it out. then set you 303oe-b to autoboot devboot.pbp through recovery menu

Are the contents of the Memory Stick safe, or would I be better off backing it up just in case?

It should be okay. The memorystick isn't going to be corrupted as the result of this process but files have been known to corrupt when sticks aren't regularly formatted and you delete/add files often. I always have an exact copy of the contents sitting on my PC..

I see other people are having same problem as me. i just upgraded to 3.03oe b and now my umds will not load. im trying to play twisted metal. any one have any idea how to fix this.

Go back down to OE-A, then go to OE-A', THEN OE-B.

How do I uninstall 2.71 SE/3.03OE?

Open up the .rar file for your custom firmware.
Open the download .rar file, and open up the flasher for recovery folder
Now, extract the RECOVERY folder to X:\PSP\GAME\ (so that it is X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY)
Now, download the 1.5 Update
Rename the update from EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP.
Copy it to X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\, there should now be 2 .prx files and 3 .pbp files
Turn off and turn back on your PSP, holding the 'R' button. Recovery console will come up DO NOT PANIC!
Scroll to Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP, and press 'X'
Some purple writing will come up, press 'X'
You now have a 1.5 PSP

I have got a 1.50 PSP currently and am looking to upgrade to 3.03 OE-B I just wanted clearer instructions if I ever wanted to downgrade back to 1.50.

What I am unsure of

The download for 3.02 OE-A has the recovery program included; for some reason the later packages didn't include it. The "flasher" is a program which acts like the generic downgrader but also can reflash a clean OE install.

That being said..

Download 3.02 OE-A for the recovery program and highly detailed readme.
Download 3.03 OE-A for inital OE installation.
Download 3.03 OE-B for upgrading from 3.03 OE-A.

I just don't want to upgrade and something goes wrong / I decide I want 1.50 back and Im stuck with the 3.0x firmware.

edit: i just dl/ed the 3.02 OE and found the recovery flasher so now the faq makes sense to me :)

Hi guys.. Got my psp today and looking forward to this homebrew scene. anyways, I managed to downgrade to 1.5 so thats okay.. I've read about these OE-A and OE-B upgrades and such.. I'm just wondering on a couple of things.
What's the best way to go about it? I mean, First upgrade to OE-A, then to OE-B? Or can I just follow the guide from the first post?
I have 1.5 and nothing else such as devhook and eloader etc. Thanks for any reply

Yes, just follow the guide instructions on page one and you will be all set. The guide goes in order of first OE-A then shows you how to apply the small OE-B update.

Also since you have 1.5 and soon to be 3.03 OE you can get rid of the eloader.

I'm pretty sure I bricked my psp. Can anyone confirm? I got to the part where it started flashing my psp, now the screen just turns black. Is there anything I can do? Did I miss a step? I was running 2.71 SE btw

Wait. I have 3.03 OE-A, do I have to use the psp/game150 folder or do I use the normal psp/game folder. I have the thing set to 1.50 kernel.
