ok.... I ve already flashed 3.10 OE -A but i wanna make a DATA.DXAR and just keep it away in a cd or something in case I ever have a partial brick.....

2. No it will create the same DATA.DXAR on any PSP firmware (1.5, 1.0, SE, OE)

Hey everybody. I haven't touched my PSP or kept up with homebrew/hack development since late last year 2006. I see that Devhook has been rendered useless. I have a question about this custom firmware stuff.
Can you have those custom openings that I used in Devhook? For example, I had that thing where an electronic high-pitched voice said "PSP" when I turned on PSP and when I loaded a UMD, it showed blood splashing onto the screen.
Yes you can. Gameboots and coldboots can be flashed to OE firmware.

DIdn't you release like a homebrew program before?
MD5 is a check sum to ensure that the file has been made correctly.
There isn't much you can do if you stopped midway.

yes. Its going to format/delete everything before it performs the upgrade.
And it would be best to format your memory stick to avoid corruption.

It seems that certain POPs prxs from older firmwares worked better for certain games.
So POPs plugin allows you to select a different pops.prx to use when playing a game.
To allow compatibility that was available on previous OE's or newer firmware updates.Zitat:

As Brad. said you can also rip a pops.prx from a fresh official firmware apparently.

SO in theory I can just install 3.03 OE-C and get a pops plugin for 3.10OE-A or even 3.30 OE . so i can customize as well as have awesome pops compatibility.

I think I won't update untill there is no USB Mod prx plugin (usbhostfs) For 3.30 OE. But I think it should come soon :)
I'm safe with 3.03 OE + Devhook with 3.30 (when it comes) atm until 3.30 can run VCSCheatDevice. I gave up 3.10 OE as I don't run PSX games.
I have Sony's 3.30 how do I install 3.30 OE-A on my device. I have searched through this forum but everyone only talks about 1.50 as sony's but every other FW has OE or SE associated with it.
Any help would be useful. Even a point in the right direction.

There is nothing to do for you at the moment, sorry. You can't install OE from official 3.30 and it is not downgradable.
I cant get this working. I did everything step by step from the guide, but when I try to launch the 3.30 OE-A Update Maker it says "The game could not be started. (8002014C)" instead of showing the white text. Am I supposed to delete/back up everything off of my memory stick first, or what? I have filmware 3.30 now, but am stuck at this part. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit-Wow, I didn't know I couldn't change from regular 3.30. That sucks, but I guess I'll just have to wait.
If you wanna run 3.30 OE-A Update Maker without errors, disable ALL plugins you have enabled by going into the Recovery Mode > Plugins then change to Disable.
Major updates to FAQ made, slimmed down FAQ, etc.
