Hi guys.
Can you please give me an hint on this one?
I upgraded from 3.30 OE-A to 3.40 OE-A today.
Since then, I can't load anything on the ISO folder (I have my original games).
It gives me always this error: 80020321
Can I return to 3.30 OE-A with no problems??
Thanks.
We can't help with ISO troubleshooting so please don't ask in the future.
I understand.Zitat:

I returned to 3.30 to try solving the problem I had...but the problem continued...:Argh:
So, problem for problem...I installed again 3.40 OE-A:) and again...same problem...
I did the following:
-tried the recover options (you know which ones ;)) problem continued.
-restore default settings...problem continued
Now I will try to explain how did I solve the problem.
After I give up (and after I restored the default settings) I started to configure (again)the wirelless lan to access the net...did all the settings and tried the internet...everything ok...after that I tried one last time my backups...and voilá :D everything working.....:Jump:
I have no explanation to this...but everything is working since I configured the net again...
Thanks for the answers ;)
BR.
Meh at least you go it on your own. Sorry its just I go by the book around here usually. :)
How do you tell that it's done flashing? I left it flashing and forgot about it for awhile... :P
Its should say press X to restart or restarted on its own.Zitat:

The screen is just black, no text. (I'm not sure if the backlight is on, but I don't think so) I can't tell if it is off (power-wise) because I have the charger in (green light).Zitat:
Zitat von Brad.
Flashing is rather quick so if you left it for a while just press the power button up for a sec and see if it starts.Zitat:

Press the brightness button ;)Zitat:

Ah. Thanks. Should have thought of that.Zitat:

Yo,
finally, after one week in Morocco without my PSP, I could upgrade it to fw 3.40 without any problem at all. Sweeet as always (if you just take care and read all the stuff before flashing...)
ust one question: I cannot see any "Use wireless hotspot" under any network settings... What's wrong? That could be a very interesting feature for me, as I travel a lot around the world... Or could someone tell me where I am supposed to see it, if there's any?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers, A.
Once at network settings you need to create a connection then you should see it.
Look Here
AFAIK, on 3.40 OE-A, it's not there.
To BRAD:
 of course... I have seen the online manual but went to search it in my PSP and was not there, that's my question!!!
To FreePlay:
What do you mean... was it on 3.30 but then was removed? I just installed 3.40 from 3.10, without passing through 3.30 so I don't know what the 3.30 network menu looked like... u confirm?
Cheers, A.
all the fw versions mentioned are intended to be "OE", of course.
I have been out the loop from the point sony`s 3.10 came out!!!At that point I didn't know about psp hacking, so like an ideot I updated to sony's 3.10. And now to the point how can I upgrade to one of the OE firmwares or downgraded? Is it posible now?
No, you are still stuck on firmware 3.10.
can i play games on 3.40 oe-a without umd? my psp drive is broke....and i have 3.03 oe-c fight night and tony hawk is not running with umd disabled.....thanks!
so you want to play ISOs?
Nope we can't help you.

Hi, I installed 3.40oea when it came out. It worked fine. Heres the problem: i semi bricked, so I used my backed up data.dxar and flashed it with 3.40oe recovery files and now I have japanese options on my xmb. (portable TV and playstation spot)
I made another dxar(and flashed it) with american 1.50 and american 3.40 and got the same results somehow. Just tried restoring to default and the default language was Japanese and timezone was default to tokyo. So obviously I have jap fw.
Now the problem with this is I cant use custom topmenus as they dont contain icons for portable tv and playstation spot(every one Ive tried gives me a semi brick -thank god..ahem dax for recovery mode- ). So Im going to try and make another dxar. Hopefully this will fix it and Ill get custom icons back. If not Ill post back.
EDIT: after restoring default settings my default select button is circle, weird, ill change it in recovery
I too Just upgraded to 3.40 OE from 3.10 OE and I don't see any wireless Hot spot in the Network Settings area. Under "New Connection" all I have listed are "Scan" / "Enter Manually" and "Automatic" .
any ideas / suggestions?

It was removed in 3.40.
"Use Wireless Hotspot" was not removed on 3.40, I clearly still see it on my 3.40 OE-AZitat:

My guess is its cause he might of used Japaneses updates cause the feature was USA only thing. T-mobile Hotspots are only currently running in the USA. Kinda like the P-TV or whatever is found on Jap PSP's

Or at least it looked like him, with all these name changes you can't tell :p
Anyway, even when you use a Japanese update, you must have a Jap PSP otherwise it won't show up.
I DL'd the USA 3.40 eboot from QJ not the Jap one. And still no Wireless Hotspot. Also I do not have any P-TV (jap stuff) icons.

When you select New connection you should see a option called. "Use Wireless Hotspot" at the bottom.

They say if you change the region in recovery mode it will come up possibly. But don't hold me to this cause I have not tried myself.Zitat:
Zitat von Adiuvo
Did you go to infastructure in the network settings?
-= Double Post =-
Yeah, it will, but that's only because of the hacks the recovery mode applies. It wouldn't normally be there.Zitat:
Zitat von Brad.
I agree I "SHOULD" see it ... but I don't. It's not there. (US 3.40 eboot was used)
Users with OE PSP's may of change it. I have not seen anyone state yet if wireless hot spot does not show on a Jap PSP or a USA PSP with region set to Jap. So there are a few possibilities.Zitat:
Zitat von Adiuvo
Just set the region to JAP, and it's still there.
Are you sure your on 3.40 Darten?
Dartan go to settings > System Settings > System information
It should state 3.40 OE-A
Also just to make sure this is were the option can be found in Network Settings.

Last One "Use Wireless Hotspot"
Well Under System Settings it says
System Software 3.40 OE-A
IS there someother way to verify?
Zitat:
Zitat von Adiuvo
Then you're on 3.40.
This is really weird, are you positive you went to new connection?
Yep Positive:
"Scroll" all the way to the Left
"Scroll" Down to Network Settings
Press "X"
Choose Infrastructure Mode
Then I can either Choose a current Connection or [New Connection]
I choose [New Connection]
"WLAN Settings"
*options are*
Scan
Enter Manually
Automatic
Are there "others" with this problem?
(Not that I need the Hotspot icon, I just wanted to make sure I have a clean install of the OE firmware)
can i go back to 3.03 oe-c from 3.40 oe-a?
