I can't run any of my homebrew anymore, after upgrading to 3.40OE-A from fw 1.5. (8002014C error)
place your homebrew in the GAME150 folder in the PSP folder.
If it doesn't exist, create it.
i have a 3.03oea psp, can i straight upgrade to 3.40oea ?
Yes
Sure you can with recovery mode.
The text inside the spoiler for 3.40 OE-A changelog needs to be updated from 3.30 to 3.40 as the bold header.
Done.
I need to update the image as well. Vulpix gave me the PSD but I just can't seem to get it right :(
Guess I'm in the "few" ... still no Wireless Hotspot
Just upgraded another PSP to 3.40 OE with the same files I used and it HAS the Wireless Hotspot. So I guess I'll just re-flash mine and "fix" this strange occurance. Wonder what went wrong with mine and if I'm missing anything else
Thanks for help/info

Edit: well i figured out my problem, just ordered a new psp with 1.5 FW
I don't understand this. I have a new psp at 2.71 firmware. Do I downgrade to 1.50 first? How do I do that?
-= Double Post =-
WHAT THE ****. I just did the 1.5 downgrader exactly as it said and now my PSP wont turn on. Black screen, thats it.
Did you check if yours was a TA-082?
Did you press the Screen button?
You did need to downgrade to 1.50

I heard before that korean psp will brick, and since then my psp hasnt been as good as before. i could restore the psp every time with the recovery file, but when i used the oe and tried to change settings the blue screen popped up and after pressing "O" the screen turned black. my psp doesnt even update to the eo's i succesfully used before bricking, does this all have to do with the korean motherboard and will this be helped by just downloading a korean eboot or is it nessecary to have another psp?
hi... just wondering, if i got v3.10OE or higher, how do d/grade to 3.03oe?
do i need to d/g to 1.5 first or just 3.03OE {(updater-p/s im d/grading, so.... can i use it??thats why im so confuse...
You can go to 3.03OE straight from any other OE firmware. There is no need to downgrade to 1.5 first.Zitat:

theres a lot of 'good, willing to help' guyz here!!!!:Punk:
THANKSSSS ALL
The only way a Korean would brick would be if it used the Korean language, which OE does not support. Go back to 1.5 using recovery, then switch the language to English, and reupgrade.Zitat:

Question:
Can someone please tell me the pros and cons of
3.03 (oe-anything)
3.10 (oe-anything)
3.30 (oe-anything)
3.40 (oe-anything)
Which firmware reigns supreme? How would you rank them?
Thanks a lot

This should tell you everything about the 3.XX OE firmware advantages/disadvantages.
can i install 3.10OE (or 3.40OE) if i have an original 2.71 (TA-082 Motherboard) psp?? it has HEN-C and a couple of brews on it but my friend wants me to make his psp as versatile as mine....
Yes, but you have to downgrade to 1.5 first, or else you'll brick.Zitat:

Does the Built in Overclocker (cpu changer) work this time since i see im able to select it and change it to 333mhz or do i still need to install oc module??:dj:
Yeah, it works fine.
The in recovery mode OC function work fine. The OC module was for outside of recovery (On the fly CPU changing) .Zitat:

I'm having a really strange problem with a memory card and hope that i can get some input. I'm on 3.40 OE-A and I have 3 memory cards (2 4GB + 1 2GB). I recently ungraded from 3.10 OE-A to 3.40 OE-A. Two of my memory cards work fine but the 3rd one (the latest 4GB that I just got) won't run any iso's. It will run psx eboots fine but when i try to run an iso i get the following error "The game could not be started. (80020321)". I am almost certain that I ran iso's with that memory card before i upgraded fom 3.10 to 3.40 but not 100% certain. The only other thing that shouldn't matter is the 2 cards that work fine are SanDisks, the third is a Lexar. Any help would be appreciated!
Sorry but we can't troubleshoot ISO loading. Please review are Piracy Policy.Zitat:

But to give a little insight Lexar MS can't run plugin cause there to slow this "May" apply to those files to.
I got my first half brick the other day using Easy Theme Flasher after few days of everything going fine. Then I downgraded to 1.5 and upgraded to 3.40 OE-A and now every time I go into recovery mode whether to make changes or not I get a BSOD upon exit. Can anyone tell me the default settings under 3.40 OE-A? And, why I might be running into this issue? Thank You
Try going to advanced in Recovery mode then enable flash1 access. Delete all the files and folder, this should correct the issue. You will get 1 BSOD on next restart but that should be the only one you get from now on.Zitat:

Thanks, it worked all right. Now I'm having another issue which I have never had and I've been with the OE versions since the beginning. I have 2 folders for homebrew in the PSP folder - GAME and GAME340. Most of my homebrew KXploited or otherwise goes in the GAME folder and only 2 of them go in the GAME340 folder i.e. PSPRadio and AFKIM (as they don't connect to the internet in GAME folder). I had my homebrew kernel folder set to 3.40 and all my apps worked great. Now I can't get the homebrew in GAME folder to work at all if the kernel mode is 3.40 and when I switch it to 1.50 its fine but then I have trouble running GAME340 apps. I tried changing the name of the GAME folder to GAME150 (even though I never needed to) and strangely enough none of my homebrew shows up under memory stick. All this happened last night when one of the themes I had flashed using Easy Theme Flasher which had been running smoothly for a few days decided it would start freezing before going to the XMB and before I knew it I had downgraded to 1.5 and upgraded back to 3.40 OE-A. Now I feel like I'm lost and the only thing I can think of now is doing the same thing again and reinstalling my homebrew all over. Before I do that can I get some advise from you guys who know more than I do about this. CheersZitat:
Zitat von Brad.
Change the kernel back to 3.40. That is what kernel the GAME150 folder is supposed to be used with.
I have tried all combos, kernel 3.40 and 1.50 with GAME and GAME150 and yet none of my homebrew shows under memory stick on the XMB. I am baffled as hell as I've upgraded/downgraded so many times and have not seen this weird behavior.Zitat:
Zitat von Adiuvo
Try reflashing I suppose. I haven't seen that problem before.
Does the PSP say there is nothing available when you hit the memory stick icon?
Your folder structure is X:/PSP/GAME or X:/PSP/GAME150 correct?
Yea, I'm probably going to reflash it. Yes, there is nothing under the memory stick icon when I change the folder name from X:/PSP/GAME to X:/PSP/GAME150.Zitat:
Zitat von Adiuvo
Its always been X:/PSP/GAME never had to use GAME150 and now I try with either kernel with GAME150 and it doesn't show up under the memory stick. Everything has been golden with GAME and GAME310/330/340 folders with the kernel being the version of the OE of the moment.Zitat:

Any luck?
