Found another typo, it's not oeupmaker but oeupdmaker
Found another typo, it's not oeupmaker but oeupdmaker
I corrected the typo's please just post in this thread instead of making a new one to point them out.

Run the EBOOT fixer on them: LinkZitat:
Zitat von SCOTTY16
That should correct the issue. Some of the older apps need this ran on them to get them to boot on OE.
Oh I'm sorry I didn't post it here, I thought it was locked like almost all the other tutoral threadsZitat:

ok.. I held the R trigger once I turned it back on but it's not working?? I upgraded to 340 OE btw, what's going on?
-= Double Post =-
What did I do wrong omg... DID I BRICK MY PSP!
Does it boot normally into the XMB?
If so then check your version... and go from there. If not, then yes, you bricked it.
I've even tried restarting the PSP fully and press the R trigger right afterwards when it starts on.. it's just not working and I seem to be the only one having this problem.. I've been holdin it down for like an hour now..
Help me please! What did I wrong?
If everything gets bad can I uninstall 3.40 OE-A??
-= Double Post =-
I thought there's no chance of brickin.. or a really low chance!!!
Oh no what I am gonna do?? What's XMB??
XMB is basically the main menu.
Did you fully reboot the PSP, as in hold the power switch up and wait for the light to go out then turn it on and hold R?
Otherwise, just make sure you turn it off properly, then turn it on normally, and don't hold R. If you get to the main menu (XMB) then you can go from there.
there's nothing wrong with my main menu.. everything seems perfectly normal... but it just won't work when I fully switched it off and turned it back on.
-= Double Post =-
as in the right trigger won't work... but everything else works! even the internet browser and everything
Okay so check your version. Maybe it didn't update properly.
Version says 3.40 OE-A
Is there any way to uninstall it and get back to 1.50?
Is there something I didn't do? like maybe adding a new folder or something to make it work?
Not sure if you can run the 1.50 updater from outside recovery... Someone else will need to help you with that.
The only other thing i could recommend is running oeupdmaker again and reinstalling (Though I'm not exactly sure it will work).
Are you holding R at the right time? Holding it from before you flick the switch usually makes sure it will do it.

SCOTTY16 - Homebrew showing as corrupted dataZitat:
Zitat von Brad.
========================= =============
Brad, your an absolute star - my homebrew showing as Corrupted Data is corrected with the "EBOOT fixer". Cheers. And cheers to DDRLORD of course for the fix.
Sorry I'm confused.
First of all what is kernal?
And I got to the recovery mode and set my keneal to 1.50 just to see if my homebrew works but it doesn't.
Okay u see I got this game called Dance Dance Revolution. And I'm not sure how I can get it to work in 340 OE-A. I've tried putting it in all the game folders but all I get is game is corrupted icon. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

If you need more help feel free to post.
HI, i was able to install 3.03OE-C successfully onto my psp, however when i go into the Recovery Menu, my CONFIGURATION tab doesn't display anything when i click X it just shows a blue screen, this is the same for the "Run program at psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp" tab it turned black though...the other tabs (advanced, cpu speed, plugins, registry) seems to be fine, please help! thanx for the great GUIDE!
Does anyone here have msn that I could ask for so I can get help on my PSP?? Sorry I'm pretty new but I would really appreciate it if someone helps me.
But if no one has msn. I just clicked on the homebrew thing and I have no idea what's gonig on. Can someone give me a simple guide on how to make homebrews work on 3.40 OE-A
Thanks much,
-= Double Post =-
That's exactly what I did.Code:X:/PSP/GAME - If kernel is set to 1.5 place Homebrew Here.
X:/PSP/GAME150 - You can place Homebrew here if kernel is 3.40 or 1.50
X:/PSP/GAME340 - Mostly for game demos and Homebrew that supports 3.40 kernel.
X:/ISO - Gonna have to find out on your own.
I usually just have my kernel set to 1.5 and place all Homebrew in X:/PSP/GAME
I put DDR in the Game folder and set my kernal to 1.5 but it still shows it to be corrupted data.
Can anyone help me please?
Boot into recovery menu and scroll down to advanced, enable flash1 access and delete all the files and folders.Zitat:

I'm guessing you mean PSP revolution? LinkZitat:
Zitat von SukMyMilk
Anyway make sure you copy the TWO folders within the 1.5 folder to X:/PSP/GAME
(PSPR and PSPR%)
haha my bad I put the folder called PSPRevolution and inside the folder is the actual 2 folders.
thanks for pointing that out..kinda.
Can u help me with the PSX installation on fireware 3.40 OE-A?
That'd be nice. I have no idea what the guide is talkin about.
-= Double Post =-
ummmm I the icon shows up now but the game is not loading (PSP revolution) it just gives a black screen.
What did I do wrong???
Help!
Have you installed any PRXs?
Also, did you use this version of PSPRevolution?
hey brad i tried it nothing happen, i boot into recovery went to advance enable the flash1, then went back into the configuration tab, but nothing is there, just a blank blue screen.
Basically i just wanna be able to access my configuration menu, but it doesn't show anything except a blue screen, can't change kernel and all that stuff
Also when u said enable flash1 then delete all files u mean format it?
I am using 3.03 OE-C
When you enable flash1 access have your USB cord connected then it should show you the contents of your flash1. Once you see them, select all the files and folders and delete them.Zitat:
Zitat von darkboi
lol sorry to bug again..thanx fo the quick response, after i enable flash1 with usb connected, where will the files and folders be located? i do not see them
Go to My Computer and go to your PSP drive.

-= Double Post =-

Glad to help. Just be sure you know what your doing with the flash. Be sure to make a back up before doing anything.
No I haven't installed any PRXs because I dunno how to.Zitat:

And yes I'm pretty sure I downloaded that version of PSPRevolution.
What is your kernel set to and which folder is PSPRevoution in?
Yeah I got the PSPRevolution to work. Somehow my version was the bad one and I got the update and it works now. Although I DID update before.
Anywayz, can anyone teach me how to use PRX?? Please? That's playstation1 games right? Plz help :(
Thanks
Hiya guys, new to the scene here. I'm just trying to upgrade to 3.03 OE-C now, but i'm a bit stuck. Not sure if this is the right place to post or not, if it's not if someone could move it to the correct place and inform me that would be great.
I'm reading the guide (http://forums.qj.net/f-guides-hacks-...faq-90741.html) but having a few problems when it comes to running the OE Update Maker. I can't seem to find that particular file, only 3.03 OE-C Update Maker? Would this be the one or not? Also worth noting there are also two corrupt files...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
3.03 OE-C Update Maker is the one your looking for.Zitat:
Zitat von unleashedmaniac
And the two corrupted icons are suppose to be there.
grr can someone help me with the PSX please?
Sorry for the double post but I'm pretty desperate,
Cheers
That's another thing altogether, and it's not PRX - that's plugins for OE (Like the battery meter or psp^war)Zitat:
Zitat von SukMyMilk
Getting PSX games running you need to use something like AutoPopstation - search for it. They also have a good guide at psp hacking 101 (Which i'm not sure if it works (with 3.40)) someone else will ahve to help with that.
You'll need to look elsewhere bro. We do not troubleshooting getting PS1 ISO's going.Zitat:
Zitat von SukMyMilk
I'm pretty sure the answer to this is yes, but to be on the safe side, can someone back me up it?
I have a PSP on version 3.40, off the Sony updates. I've never done anything to it other than play games, nothing installed. Can I install 3.40 OE-A without doing something damaging to my PSP?
Sony 3.10 - 3.40 can't downgrade to 1.50 so you can't install OE. (You install OE from a custom firmware or 1.5)Zitat:
Zitat von Mojinko
You will just need to hope a exploit comes to allow a downgrade.
So I'm screwed till someone figures out a way to go backwards.. >.>
Was looking forward to using the CWCheat thing X.x
Ok is there a difference between the update 3.40 from sony and the 3.40 OE-A. I used the update from sony before trying the OE-A update. I followed the instructions but the PSP says game can not be started. Is there a way to revert back to my old version 2.6 or is there an order in procedure I should follow. Please advise
Yeah, there are differences. One can run homebrew, one can't :p
And are you getting errors with UMDs or ISOs?
