I've installed OE-C on 2 PSPs( That didn't belong to me) and when I found out I messed up somewhere, I got a bit scared. I never had this problem on my Own PSP. I couldn't find the problem with Google so I decided to ask on this forum, being all clueless and all. Good thing you helped me out, Anubis. Now I can finally go sleep! (4:20 am here in Europe.. z_z)

This is a good thread to check out on the features it will gain you. A big one is you will not have to start a program up to use new firmware features or play new games.
As for the memory stick problem there are two ways to get around it. Either use USBHOST so you can have the files on your computer HD instead of the PSP MS or just find a 3.03 OE-C DATA.DXAR on the internet.
I recommend you just to go to 3.40 OE-A as its the safest with its included SHA-1 check meaning it wont flash unless its 100% a 3.40 OE-A DATA.DXAR (3.03 OE-C Flasher Does not have this check) So just downloading off the internet may be a good/fast way for you. We can't link you directly to one as its against are rules.

I was browsing through this thread after posting and found someone who had the same memory stick space problem...so I go around and look up USBhost and the IRshell....but from what I get, it doesnt work with a mac?
So for me, since i have a mac, would i be able to do the 3.03 OE-C DATA.DXAR?
If so, then I guess im going to have to search around for it, sionce its against the rules to link..

What do I do with it? Do I follow this guide? Because in this guide i think the first portion is for creating the DATA.DXAR....
I don't know what to do with it to get it to work..

You can format your whole memory stick using the PC.
And then use the "Format Memory Stick" option from the XMB to automatically create all the needed folders for 3.40 OE

And in losing anything, I think he meant custom firmware features.
Which you will not lose. they are stored on your flash0 of your PSP.
Right i went back to 1.50, and re installed 3.40 oe, still when i go to load homebrew i get an error message saying game could not me started....

Managed to sort it by enabling "Execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO" in advanced config.
Hm, strange fix, that normally it enabled, does your flash1 corrupt often?
Sorry you've lost me, i'm a complete noob to all this :neutral:, but i've never had anything corrupt.
You say its usually enabled? there were a couple of other options set differently too, after upgrading, i entered the recovery menu to activate 1.5 kernal, but it was allready set to 1.5, weird stuff.
does this have the same chance of bricking as the 2.71 - 1.50 TA-082 PSP downgrader (If all files are in place, it wont brick unless you turn it off during the process)

There is a extensive check system while upgrading to a OE firmware. Just as we said when you were downgrading, as long as you don't turn off your PSP while its flashing you will be fine.Zitat:

I have problem when i hit on the 3.40 oe updatemaker. It will execute till the 3.40 then will show the message "SH-1 Invalid". I have tried everything but it dint work at all, what should i do?

Try redownloading the 3.40 EBOOT and make sure it's named 340.PBP
I have a 3.03 OE PSP with a gameboot memory stick re-router, is it ok to install 3.40?
BTW, I mean I flashed my PSP so that it plays a gameboot on the memory stick.
I have change the 340 EBBOT filename to 340 as well as 150, but the error still there. I have one EBOOT.PBP, one 340.PBP and 150.PBP in my \Game\oeupdmaker.
I follow the instruction but the error still come out, I have tried many times, still the same.
What is the problem?

Yupe, I have tried that as well. Formatting my stick, I got 3600MB space for that and I have name it correctly, but the error still there. Always show the same error which is "SH-1 invalid". Any idea?

Try formatting your stick.
Make sure you have enough room on your memory stick for all the files including the data.dxar that will be generated.
Double-check you have named each eboot correctly and didn't mix them up accidentally.

Yes You can go straight from 3.10OE to 3.40OE. No you wont have to reconvert your playstation games but Dark Alex recommends you back up your PS1 game saves since 3.40 uses a new method to save games.Zitat:
