Hi, I need some help here.
I once updated from my 1.5 to 3.03 OE-A using similar methods. But now i tried doing it to update to the new version it seems to fail. There is a error msg "The game could not be started. (80020148)"
Can anyone tell me where my problems lies with?
Thank you.
Place the files in the GAME150 folder and it should work regardless of the settings you use. If the situation persists, advise us of any XMB mods you may have in use.
Where is this folder? Or where do i create this folder in? What folder do i put in it? The 4 folder?Zitat:

Put it in X:/PSP/
Name it GAME150....
I want to update my 3.03 OE-C psp to 3.40 OE-A. Will it work if my firmware now has customization done to the XMB???
Yes it format your flash so everything is set to the original
NVm figured it out anyway where do you go to request cintros and gameboots?
Take a look here
Hello Second post btw lol. Some help needed here. What is it, is when i load up my Recovery mode and go into configuration, my psp with freeze with the blue screen and no configuration menu come up, then 10 secs later the psp will turn of by itself.
I have been into the configuration screen before and my kernel was 3.40 so no need to change anything and games were running fine but after chopping and changing games my Great Battles of Rome will not load past the welcome screen on the game. So after that, thats when I noticed I could not get into the configuration menu at all anymore.
Have I maybe done summit wrong, is there a way of fixxing this.
Thanks
Boot back into recovery mode
Scroll down and select "advanced" and enable flash1 access and delete all the files and folders. Reboot the PSP and you should be good to go.
Anyone else get a weird USB error sometimes?
This is how it happens:
1. Open USB Connection (In Settings menu).
2. Do some stuff over USB.
3. Exit USB connection.
4. Look at files under Memory Stick in Game.
5. Go back to USB connection
- PC doesn't detect it
6. Exit USB connection
7. Error pops up,
8. XMB with "USB Conneted" overlay appears...
Anyone know why or a fix?
i have had the same error before when i had usbhost running and tried to goto usb connection in settings, then i exited and the text for usb was stuck in the xmb when i scroll to other sections... i rebooted and disable usbhost while trying to access usb and it fixed
^^ weird. I have had the problem of my PC not detecting my psp. But a reboot always fixes it. Never had it overlapping the XMB though.
A reboot fixes it, but pressinc O then going back in doesn't.
Where do I got to request cintros and gameboots?

You may want to have a look at the Piracy Policy linked in my signature.
oooooo sorry didnt no
We can make the movie though, but you'll have to convert it.
What would you like?
ok...so i've had my psp for a little while now...maybe 2 months...i downgraded to 1.5. No problem. Had fun using it blah blah blah...decided to upgrade to 3.4 OE-A. It was a little sketchy at first with the homebrew stuff so i tried to recover it back to 1.5 but it didnt work. so i decided to just find how to use homebrew on it and that finally worked...so stupid me, i decide i want the old theme i had on 1.5 on 3.4. Turns out the theme flasher is ONLY compatible with 1.5. Now i'm semi-bricked and can't get recovery to work...what can i do??? any help at all would be greaaaatly appreciated. I think im just wanting to go back to 1.5 and do a little more research on the OE firmwares before i get into that...so just help me get back to 1.5 please!!
not good bro... if you can't get recovery to work and you can't get the PSP to boot up then you're pretty much screwed. Your options are very limited:
1) return to sony, pay them to fix it.
2) try to return it to the store you bought it from.
3) send it to a company like www.foundmy.com to fix it
(http://www.foundmy.com/oscom/product...roducts_id=235)
(I have heard other people say this website has fixed their bricked PSPs before)
4) build a nand programmer and hard down the psp yourself. not too complicated but if your not good at soldering then don't attempt it.
5) buy a new one, find a way to return the old one as the new one for a refund. this is fraud and is considered illegal.
yeah so like i said... not looking very good.. i would choose option #3 personally if I had to make the choice..
i mean, i can get INTO recovery mode (R trig + Pwr on) but when I run the recovery software it just goes to a black screen and then powers off. Does this change the possibilities any?
What do you mean when you run the recovery software?
If you can enter recovery then there is hope!!
Please follow these steps exactly:
HTH:
To unbrick from recovery mode:
Spoiler for 1. Create the 3.40 OE-A Update file::
Spoiler for 2. Install the 3.40 OE-A Update file::
Worked for me after I semi bricked a 3.03 OE-C.
If you need help, please ask!! This will put you back at 3.40 OE-A which is really the best OE right now since it is the most current. Most development is currently being done on this CFW pretty much.
im sorry if this has been said befor but im trying to download the 3.40 Update Eboot but when i click the file it wont open is there a redymade oeupdmaker folder with all the contents i need the you could upload for me so i can use that??
thanks
3.40 EBOOT.
CAn anyone help me with an unassinging flash1 error?
What firmware are you on?
Okay... I am pretty new to the PSP scene, though huge in the DS one. Well I hope I can get my answer here, seems to be the most friendly place to ask lol.
I got my PSP and it's 1.5, I've never really touched it after I bought it, didn't upgrade either so it was stuck on 1.5.
My questions is should I upgrade to 3.4 OE-A or 3.40IE-A2? I will honestly say now that I only know that they are custom firmwares.
Can I play my backup ISO on 1.5 and 3.4OE-A/3.40IE-A2? If yes than whice version should I stick with?
Sorry for the noobish questions, very new to the scene. Thanks.
Do 3.40 OE-A It's my preferred custom firmware
Alright than it's decided, 3.40 OE-A for me. These should be the steps I will be following, if I am missing one or wrong on one step please correct me.
1. Follow this guide (of course)
2. After upgrading to 3.40 OE-A, I can format my MS.
3. Make ISO folder, and put my FF7 ISO in there.
4. Boot up and play.
Don't think I am missing anything. If so please say so.
hello everyone. i have a problem on my psp. i just bought it. had a 2.71 version. i did downgrading it to 1.5 (from a guide i saw on other site) .. after that, did custom firmware to 3.40 oe-a. (i got an easy installer of 3.40 - .exe). After that i could play isos/cso on my psp. with a umd on it and didnt not configure "no umd-enabled" on recov mode. i did play for days wit few games, but my problem started when while playing nba live 07 and it froze.cant turn it off so had to took the batery out manualy. thats when i had a problem running any iso/cso theres an eror always saying "Game Could not be started (80010002)".
i tried on formating my stick, and reseting my setings to default (which changed things like how i access= "X"/exit = "O" back then now its reversed.) i am stil on 3.40 oe a as i can see on my sys info. could someone help me out ? thanks in advance. sorry if ever theres same scenario and didnt read the threads
r34psp: Popstation is a good PBP file maker for PSX games. It converts PSX games to PSP format. Just place them in the Game folder afterwards.
iamdbeat: Recovery mode. Fake region to USA and enable NO UMD setting. Also set the Homebrew mode to 1.50 Kernal. The fake region shouldn't really matter due to games being region free. Some homebrew and XMB's work better though.
That should do you good. If not, I have no idea what to do.
Oh so for PSX games I can go ahead and put it int he GAMES folder and use Popstation to make it a PBP file.
But for PSP games it has to go into the ISO folder in root, so it isn't really iso files for psp games but PBP?
Or do I have it the wrong way? LOL this is the only thing I am still confused about. After this clears up I'll stop asking questions lol.
PSP games are ISO extenstions
PSP games goes into ISO folder in ROOT
PSX games are PBP extenstions.
PSX games goes into GAMEs folder.
Or... just correct me if I am wrong lol thanks.
Thanks Alistar.
Your not allowed to talk about ISO's on these formus but yeah the go in that folder and your eboot.pbp go in the PSP/GAME/WhATVERname/Eboot.pbp
Okay sorry my fault, thanks though. Won't talk about it again :)
Thanks AliStar. but i stil got an eror. same error. i did wat u said. hmm . i already did downgrade to 1.5 and custom firm to 3.40 oe-a agen. but stil wont work. i got it all right. have a umd game on, no-umd enabled fake region to usa. 1.5 kernel. wat did i miss
-= Double Post =-
wat is homebrew btw? do i need it? sorry for double posting
Go back to recovery and make sure that your options are all the same how you just changed them, sometime the recvoery becomes messed up and you have to enable "flash1" and delete the config.se.
Homebrew are apps or game that people create for others to enjoy the full potention of the psp systems.
Also try creating your one DATA.DXAR file an dyou dont have to downgrade just run it and it should fix everything
oh maybe thats why.. i formated my stick after i sucesfuly finished 3.40oea installation? do i nid those files ( data.dxar, 340flash folders, oemaker folders)?
