I have a small problem. Seems like the guide posted here is not working for me. I read the above claims that the updater assumes u have FW 3.03OE-A. all the Steps I follow, but when i get to the step where I am suppose to execute oemupdate maker , the psp goes to this screen (the game could not be started (8002014C). And I am stuck there. What Can I do to get around this ?

What firmware are you on? This can only be used on a firmware reading "Version 1.50" or another custom firmware. If you're on another firmware, you'll need to downgrade.
Im on Firmware 3.03Oe-a >this is a custom firmware.
Check your "Game folder for homebrew" setting in recovery - make sure it reads "1.50 Kernel" - That's likely the cause of your problems.

Restart your PSP completely by holding the power switch up until the lights go out.
Wait a couple seconds until the lights are all off.
Hold down R (Right Trigger) and flick the power button. Recovery mode should appear.
Under Configuration, set the "Game folder for homebrew" setting to read "1.50 Kernel"
Choose "Back" then "Exit".

Correct, I Hold L(Right Trigger) while turning on the PSP and select Load PSP/GAME/EBOOT.PBP :/
What are the contents of your recovery folder?

Try running it from the game menu. If that doesn't work readd the files.
I've tried it from the game menu, it doesnt even give me an icon, it just says corrupted data. here's some more specs about my psp, maybe the info will help: 1 GB MEM Stick, No UMD Disk inside, Motherboard 082. I cant even update, thats the sad part, if i was able to update at least i would be able to do the whole process again...

And sasori231, you need a PSP which can run 1.50 kernel, i.e. you cannot run it on official firmwares higher (or lower) than 1.50.

... You installed 3.40* LE (Team WildC*rd's cfw), not 3.40 LE. And a good thing, too, because 3.40 LE (without the *) is an unstable custom firmware hack of 3.40 OE by Test30 that's been known to brick PSPs.Zitat:

Remove your memory stick and try getting into recovery again. Then put it back in and mess with what you want to.Zitat:

i have got a original psp v1.50 but i keep on having this error "Invalid 1.50 update file (3)." during the part when it's creating the data.dxar. i alr tried rename the 150.pbp to 150 but it didnt work.
i wanted to upgrade my psp to 3.40 OE-A. how to solve this issue? i have download the original 1.50 eboot & 3.40 eboot from qj site.
