Ah, ok. Just another quick question, it seems that my analog stick started acting up when I installed 3.40OE, is this an isolated event, or do issues like this happen? Because when I was on 2.00 before it didn't seem to have this issue.

My old analog stick when I was on regular 3.03 firmware. This one appears to be messed up since about 3.10 OE-A. I don't think it's caused by the custom firmware though, since my first analog broke when I was on a regular firmware. How is it messed up? Does it just randomly go off in one direction?

i just updated to 340 oec and i was wondering if anyone seem to be having a problem with their document.dat? im trying to use it with FFIX and i can seem to get it to work. it worked before when i was under 303 oec... any ideas?

You need to recovert the EBOOT with the document.dat included.

I upgraded to 3.40 OE but then some games wont open... it says "The game could not be started. (80020321)" anyone knows how to solve this? some of my games work and some doesnt... I know im a noob on this stuff but i dont know anything about PSP .. my friend upgraded it to 3.40 OE for me... so could anyone tell em what to do?

Flash agent has a option to delete un-needed files. Just run ti and you should say a option in the amin menu.

Everyone starts somewhere. When I say ISO/CSO I mean file types just like you said. As for homebrew I mean games that have EBOOT.PBP's. Usually have two folders also. (Example and Example%)

I succesfully upgraded to 3.40OE and am very happy about it, but somehting happened (idunno what) and I had to reformat my memory card. Before I reformated it, it only have PSP/ games, music, common, etc. Now it has all the other ones 3.40OE should have. What are all these other folders?

Well, I understand the pictures, movies, music, system MP_ROOT folders, but what is the ISO folder for, and all the subfolders within GAME?

PSP/GAME150 is for KXploited apps designed for v1.50
PSP/GAME340 is for apps (Like PSPRadio) which are launched with v3.40 OE normally
PSP/GAME is where you can put any games (If you know which ones work in each kernel mode)

X:/PSP/GAME - If kernel is set to 1.5 place Homebrew Here.
X:/PSP/GAME150 - You can place Homebrew here if kernel is 3.40 or 1.50
X:/PSP/GAME340 - Mostly for game demos and Homebrew that supports 3.40 kernel.
X:/ISO - Gonna have to find out on your own.

I usually just have my kernel set to 1.5 and place all Homebrew in X:/PSP/GAME

I have an original UK PSP which, until yesterday, I had kept at v2.0. I’ve been using Eloader to play homebrew since version 0.7 came out so I’m quite experienced with the PSP. I decided to bite the bullet and install 3.40 OE. The downgrade to 1.5 and upgrade to 3.40 OE went without out a hitch, or so I thought. ISO’s are OK and I’ve worked out you have to put PS1 Popstation folders in the GAME folder to make them work. My problem is with my homebrew. I copied my collection back onto the PSP into the GAME150 folder but only a small proportion show up. The majority have “Corrupted Data” (even though I’ve got “Hide Corrupt Icons” enabled) and “cannot be started”. An example is SQUAREZ – I’ve even tried downloading the latest version (V0.8.2 Beta24) with the same result. Eloader worked best with the versions of homebrew designed for PSP V1.0 so most of my collection is such if that makes a difference. To try and solve the problem I’ve reformatted the stick and restored default settings to no avail. I’ve also tried the homebrew in GAME and GAME340 and changed the “Game Folder Homebrew” to 3.40 but no combination seems to make a difference (in fact it doesn’t seem to matter which of the 3 folders the homebrew is in). Am I missing something ? If you advise a re-install can I just do the 3.40 OE installation straight over the top of the current or do I need to do the recovery procedure?

1. From the 303oe_a.rar file you downloaded copy the oeupmaker and oeupmaker% folders into:

X:\PSP\GAME\

He only links to OE-C, should I just consider it a typo and use the C file where it says A? Just to make sure, I don't have to install OE-A and OE-B to get 3.03 OE-C, right?

Run the EBOOT fixer on them: Link

That should correct the issue. Some of the older apps need this ran on them to get them to boot on OE.

Does it boot normally into the XMB?

If so then check your version... and go from there. If not, then yes, you bricked it.

I've even tried restarting the PSP fully and press the R trigger right afterwards when it starts on.. it's just not working and I seem to be the only one having this problem.. I've been holdin it down for like an hour now..
Help me please! What did I wrong?

XMB is basically the main menu.

Did you fully reboot the PSP, as in hold the power switch up and wait for the light to go out then turn it on and hold R?

Otherwise, just make sure you turn it off properly, then turn it on normally, and don't hold R. If you get to the main menu (XMB) then you can go from there.

there's nothing wrong with my main menu.. everything seems perfectly normal... but it just won't work when I fully switched it off and turned it back on.
