After installing 3.40oe-a, what files can I delete? Is it ok to delete the oeupdmaker and 340oeflasher folders? Also what about the UPDATE folder in the GAME folder? Or can I simply format the card and start with a clean memory stick to go along with my 3.40oe-a FW?

You can delete everything your memory stick.

Hey guys,
I just installed 3.40 OE-A.
But when I go to the Recovery Menu and try to go to 'configuration' the PSP just freezes, and then shuts off for some reason. How do I fix this?

How do I delete everything in flash1?

Enter Recovery Mode --> Advanced --> Enable Flash1

It should pop up on the computer.

Delete EVERYTHING from the disk

And voila it works.

You will get a BSOD but its okay.

It's perfectly safe. Flash1 only has user info in it.

I've installed OE-C on 2 PSPs( That didn't belong to me) and when I found out I messed up somewhere, I got a bit scared. I never had this problem on my Own PSP. I couldn't find the problem with Google so I decided to ask on this forum, being all clueless and all. Good thing you helped me out, Anubis. Now I can finally go sleep! (4:20 am here in Europe.. z_z)

I recently installed Devhook 0.52 onto my psp..
1 Question...what is the difference between Devhook and this 3.03 OE-C?

I wish I could get this working....but my memory card is too small, I cannot fit the 1.5 and 3.03 PBP's onto it...

This is a good thread to check out on the features it will gain you. A big one is you will not have to start a program up to use new firmware features or play new games.

As for the memory stick problem there are two ways to get around it. Either use USBHOST so you can have the files on your computer HD instead of the PSP MS or just find a 3.03 OE-C DATA.DXAR on the internet.

I recommend you just to go to 3.40 OE-A as its the safest with its included SHA-1 check meaning it wont flash unless its 100% a 3.40 OE-A DATA.DXAR (3.03 OE-C Flasher Does not have this check) So just downloading off the internet may be a good/fast way for you. We can't link you directly to one as its against are rules.

I was browsing through this thread after posting and found someone who had the same memory stick space problem...so I go around and look up USBhost and the IRshell....but from what I get, it doesnt work with a mac?

So for me, since i have a mac, would i be able to do the 3.03 OE-C DATA.DXAR?

If so, then I guess im going to have to search around for it, sionce its against the rules to link..

Do Step 1 then skip to step 6 but when doing step 6 just copy the DATA.DXAR to X:\PSP\GAME\340oeflasher

Yes! I checked and i have 3.40 OE-A!!!
Now, is this like a normal update...can I FORMAT my memory stick without worrying about losing anything? Or do I have to Do something special?

You can format your whole memory stick using the PC.

And then use the "Format Memory Stick" option from the XMB to automatically create all the needed folders for 3.40 OE
