That solitaire game runs very smoothly. I will make one that runs just as smooth that fits the aspect ratio for the PSP, and has a psp twist to it (HINT: the back of the cards will hav the psp logo lol.)
very nice work on tetris, this will only be the beginning of homemade games in flash :) Solitare sounds very cool and I cant wait for your next release :)

awesome! I was wondering if there's a way to save your high scores?
because I'm stuck between:
sticking with 2.6 and using Sandberg's PSPTetris.
upgrading to 2.7 to use Joey's flash version of PSPTetris.
Although Sandberg's tetris has high score saving, it takes too long to have to start up GTA, open the eloader, and open the tetris game.
I haven't tried Joey's flash version of tetris, but it seems like it sticks to the original classic Gameboy version. Anyone know if it sticks to the same point system too?
At the moment, I'm obsessed with tetris. I don't mind upgrading to 2.7 and missing out on homebrew.
Sweet, I have to try this out
You could always learn coding and make your own version. lol.Originally Posted by r75x
I think there could be some tetris roms out there, maybe you could try (if you have original game).
I HAVE 2.7 I THINK ITS NICE THAT PEOPLE SPEND THE TIME JUST FOR 2.7 USERS BUT I SERIULY DONT KNOW ANYTHIN ABOUT HACKS OR WATEVER SO CAN SOMONE TELL ME WER DO I PUT THE file:/tetris.swf I NO ITS IN THE ROOOT OF THE PSP BUT WERE IS THAT? LOL I KNOW I SOUND STUPID BUT CAN SOME ONE TELL ME PLZ THANK U NICE WORK JOEY
put it anywhere in your memstick and in the browsers url thing typeOriginally Posted by IMMIGRANT
"FILE:\whatever folder you put it in\ name of the flash file.
Do I put the swf file with the psp folder and mp_folder? Or do I put it inside a folder?
Does the browser also need to be connected to the internet or does it just run off the file?
Thanks in advance.

You only need to put it on your memory stick once. You can put the swf file anywhere. If you put it in the "game" folder, then open up your psp browser and type file:\PSP\GAME\tetris.swfOriginally Posted by kaidoy021
And nope, the browser does not need to be connected to the internet.
I hope this helps.
I'm a computer science major, but I'm just a freshman. I've done some of my GE's, but as far as the computer classes go... I've only taken an SQL class and an html class. Basically, SQL was new to me but I learned it fast; and I already knew html. In the summer I'm taking some intro to programming class. I don't think I'll learn anything hardcore until way later thoughOriginally Posted by PopcOrn DeVil
I have other Tetris games (the actual physical games), but I don't have the original 1989 Gameboy Tetris. I do, however, have the rom of it (am I going to jail?). So all I have to do now is find a good Gameboy emulator for the PSP that runs smoothly... which one runs smoothly? Please let me know.
The rom is only 32 kb. It's so small. I wish I knew how to code. But I currently don't know how, and I have to bother people ... I can pay whoever makes me a tetris with score saves :) ... I'm not looking for anything fancy... I just want the simple 1989 gameboy tetris with score saves...

yea thanks i got it
now another question i wanna learn how to do this stuff i no its hard i just got macromedia flash mx but i dont really no how to use it can someone tell me plz my yahoo is gman_da_immigrant and my msn messenger its firstname.lastname@example.org thank u
thanks for all the compliments, sorry to all the people who i confused by saying pu tit in the root or the memory stick haha. i shulda said put it in game and type file:\psp\gam\tetris.swf sorryyyy. i will be coming out with more games soo so keep an eye out!
oh also, i could code a way to save your high scores, but that would require me getting a server with PHP on it and allowing everyone who plays my game to save their high scores to my server. I don't think there's a possible way in flash 6 to save to a file on your computer/psp.
cant you save it to a simple txt file ?
ooh, thanks for the info! but if you do happen to find a way, I personally just want scores saved within the PSP itself. the whole server thing to save everyone's scores online isn't necessary.Originally Posted by joeySMiTH
You, joeySMITH, are a cheat, a liar, and a thief! You didn't make this game! You just changed a few things from someone elses labor! You don't deserve all of this hype and popularity. You should be ashamed of yourself, to fool so many people!
OK, now to justify my point. After playing joey's game, please visit
There, you can clearly see that the Tetris game was released in 2001!
You can also see the game at the author's website. HERE
Now, play the game. You will notice that all joey would have to do is to change the block colors, and move the boxes around. The boxes are the same. The animation when you clear a line is the same, and every time you place down pieces, numbers come up. They are the same, in a different font, on each game. Even the box that the game is in is the same, and is missing that top border.
So joey, admint to your thievry now, for what you have done deserves no pity! You claim someone elses work as your own. I despise you! You probably don't even know how to code in Actionscript. You are probably using the 60-day free trial.

PS- the only code i took from that dude is the animation when you get a line. Its nto as simple as just moving the blocks around. LMAO. i ask ANYONE to download that source code, and if they can recreate the program i made, then ill give them $50 via paypal.

Shut up, .:Epixx:., he ported the game to the PSP. Why don't you try it?

could someone please tell me how the controls are mapped for the psp i mean what is the conversion from pc to psp, i maen what does the x button do if it was on the pc. i mean if i played tetris on pc then on psp what would the controls be.
Hi, Im not sure how hard this would be, but is there anyway you could release one that uses square or circle to start and pause as having a japanese psp when i go to start I cant as pressing X causes the psp to ask me if I want to close the browser.
As i said in the comment that im guessing you left, whatever button the Japanese PSP uses for a mouse click when using the browser is what button you shuld use to start/pause the game. In "lamen-terms" The flash is coded so its one big button over top the whole game so when you click it, it starts/pauses the game.
Iv not upgraded too 2.7, but had a play of it on my PC. Very nice. Keep up the good work, and any good future flash releases could persuade me to upgrade :)
