// -- INTRO: -- //
The cool thing about the newer firmware is the ability to play flash games, but the sucky part is trying to keep them organized and easily accessible without having to bookmark every single one, not to mention the stressful task of finding flash content that runs smoothly on the PSP. Well, here is our personal solution to the problem.
// -- WHAT IT IS: -- //
This is a portal system that displays a menu with several flash games and applications for you to choose from. Each game/application is represented by a thumbnail and you can cycle left and right through the games with the mouse or D-pad. To start up a game, you simply click it. Now you don't have to type in the file name or bookmark each game individually. You can access them right from this spiffy menu, and just hit the L or back button when you're done playing and you'll return back to the meun where you can jump right into another game. Pretty easy, huh? And all the games/apps are stored on the memory stick, so you don't need to be connected to the internet to use this portal.
// -- HOW TO INSTALL: -- //
1.) Unzip the file and Connect your PSP to your PC with your USB cable and put your PSP into USB mode.
2.) Copy all the files in the zip to your memory stick (Don't put them in any folders. Leave the file structure as it is!)
NOTE: A message will pop up saying that there is already a folder called PSP. Just press "Yes to All" It will NOT erase any of the data on your PSP. Only the new portal files will be added.
3.) Finally, go to your PSP and open the Web Browser and enter this address:
If you've done everything correctly, then you should see the menu!
Now you can either bookmark this menu or set it as your homepage, and you'll no longer need to type in anything to play these games :)
To navigate the menu, use your mouse to click the game icon, or click the arrows to scroll through the games. You can also press left and right on the D-Pad to move through the sets of games.
// -- To set this portal as your home page: -- //
1.) Load up the portal (type file:/menu.swf)
2.) Press Triangle
3.) In the web browser menu, go to Tools >> Settings >> Home Page Settings and then click "Use Current Page"
// -- To enable flash on your PSP: -- //
1.) Go to Settings
2.) Scroll down to System Settings
3.) Select "Enable Flash Player"
NOTE: You must be connected to the internet to enable flash
If you still can't see flash content in your browser, make sure you have it turned on:
1.) Open the internet browser
2.) In the browser menu, go to Tools >> Settings >> View Settings >> and make sure Flash is ON
(All credit for the games/apps goes to the original makers)
