I'm playing it on 3.03EC-C.
Haven't gotten a chance to buy it yet, but I'm going to, but I'm going to continue playing the .CSO until I can, since I'm going to anyway. It definately gets a thumbs up from me. Nice to see something else on the PSP, as it's a little different from my PSP RPGs. |

Anyway, I played this game for a bit, and it seems pretty good. But I keep dying. I suck at this game, the slime guys keep killing me. Is there a way to block?

Then I got the hang of it and I pwn the crap out of stuff! It's not hard, you just have to figure it out. The setup for me that worked. I made a thief, and with the first 500g you have, go to the guild hall and recruit a new team member for 500g and make it an elf, as they do better with magic and set it to a priest. You can then count on them to keep you healed pretty well most of the time. My character is currently 5 thief, 5 fighter, and 3 priest (Trying to get 5 priest.) Trying to make a ranger type mix. fighter/thief/priest. The elf I originally recruited is now a priest/,age (Like a druid.) and I've had absolutely no problems at all, and I'm doing pretty well. I'd say this game owns, as the PSP has nothing like it, and I was waiting for something kind of like it on the PSP. |

You can't make it the lead character, but you can press Select and use it more as your "primary", but it won't really e the "lead".
Though, I guess you could go into formation and change that too. The story however, will center around the character you made when starting the game. |

it's pretty sick right now, playing it
![]() it's all in the person's taste, if something makes your tickle bone jump then good for you. but if you're looking for something more than just bashing monsters, leveling and gathering treasures, then this is not a game to look for. :P

In all honesty, and in my opinion, GameSpot is one of the worst places to count on for a review of a game. I'll check there and read a review, but I always, always take it with a grain of salt. I read the reviews on this, and I'm enjoying it quite a bit, though most said around 7-8/10. If you haven't played it, I wouldn't call it a disappointment, I welcome it to the PSP's library, as it didn't really have an RPG like this, and needed one, instead of just another ATTACK/STEAL/MAGIC/ITEM LOL! It's not quite an action RPG, at least I wouldn't say so, but it's probably closer to that than anything else. If you haven't played it, and you're calling it a disappointment based on GameSpot's review (Who, has one of the worst user bases for a video game site ever. I swear, all idiots morons.) then you're probably a GameSpot user, or at least deserve to be one. |

Ratings are never a good way to judge a game. People have diffrent tastes in games (as indicated earlier in this thread). The people who write reviews still have their personal preference. reviews and ratings, are just opionions. Looking at just one is uselss, you have to look around and see what else other people are saying about it, and just dont just blindly believe everything. |

Gamespot rated this game a mediocre? Shame on you gamespot!
I think gamespot's reviewers are graphic whores... seriously they gave all the games with "great" graphics 9.0 and up while great gameplay games seem to be below 7.0

hey guys, i just started playing valhalla knights. now, i usually don't play RPG's so this one is a little bit hard for me. still, i've been getting by ok. i'm taking on the second "job" from the guild, called "the sin" and i'm supposed to take someone to the old castle ground and retrieve something, but i don't know where and what, and i keep dying while trying to explore, can someone help this noob out? thanks.
edit: never mind. i found it, it just took a bit of crawling around. now it's more enjoyable, not dying and all Last edited by dazed66; 04-24-2007 at 08:03 PM.. |

I refuse to use a FAQ to find out where to find a quest because the quest should tell you. I selected the second quest and couldnt find out were to go since the quest log tells yo nothing, this game is crap. Good thing I downloaded the ISO before buying the game, saved me some money.

Axeus, where are you form in Louisiana?
H-Town? I just moved from Baton Rouge for the past 20 years up to Council Bluffs, Iowa (5 minutes from Omaha, Nebraska) I don't really remember an H-Town in Louisiana, H-Town makes me think of Houston. Though I remember people calling Walker (Not too far outside of Baton Rouge.) Walk-town. Anyhow, I see a lot of complaints about how people find the quest descriptions too vague, after getting used to it I didn't find it hard at all. You either go in looking for an item (Which, once you figure out it's either a chest or one of the little pillars with the stones on it, how hard is it to just run around and check them?) or an NPC or something. How hard is it? It's come to the point where I kind of skim it, I look at it but I don't analyze it too much, just kind of look whether or not I'm supposed to look for a person or an item, and that's about it. Easy as pie. |
